Would put 0 if I could

Would put 0 if I could. Preordered a slaughter to prevail top last August. Almost a year later still haven't received it. Despite multiple emails I have not heard from their customer service at all.

7 months for a vinyl to arrive

Ordered 2 vinyls in October 2022. 1 received in good time. 2nd vinyl received May 2023. No reasons given as to why. Every email I sent took 1-2 months to get a reply.
Terrible customer service. Happy to take the money and make you wait 7 months to fulfill your order.

No updates and no customer service.

Pre-ordered a record on the 27th of March. The album released on the 12th of May. I have received absolutely no updates since then. I've attempted to contact 3 times over the last 3 weeks and I have received no response. My experience coupled with the horror stories I've heard should give you an indication that this company sucks and should be considered a scam. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS LABEL.

Absolute disgrace. Lies and broken promises

Absolutely disgusting! No way of contacting them except through an email address which is NEVER replied to except the automated response of ‘will get back within 48 hours’. Have contacted them by sending email every day for 6 weeks, still no reply or requested refund. Cancelled an order I made 30 March a day later. Record not due until mid June. It’s a huge shame a whole record company is let down by its merchandising department. Will never buy anything from them again. Scam.

Sumerian themselves state:
‘… placed an order on impulse and no longer need it, can you help?

Please use our contact form to get in touch and we will cancel your order if it has not already been processed and shipped.

Another lie.

Order never shipped

I ordered a record on January 26th. The next day they emailed me telling me I could track it on the Shop Pay app, which I did and three months later it still told me it hadn't shipped yet. I emailed them about it and all I ever heard from them was an automated "thanks for your email" reply. I had to open a claim with my bank to get a refund. I later found out that the record I ordered was a limited edition of 500 copies which came out last year so most likely they didn't even have the record in stock but kept it up for sale on the website anyway.

Robbed Blind!

Ordered a hoody on Boxing day 22, it's now April 2nd and I've been given no update on where my order is.
They are claiming they are performing a warehouse transition, but that shouldn't take three months.
When I email I'm just told to email someone else, ad nauseum.
I feel like I've been robbed!

They are thieves and scammers!

*First time buyers/customers, read this before you buy from anything from Sumerian Merch US or UK. I hope this is useful for you guys.

Sumerian Merch customer service promised me a refund for an item that they did not have in stock. The refund did not arrive! When I asked about it via email, they tried to stall and give excuses, send me to this guy and that guy, they are ignoring me every time after they said "they will forwarded my details to their account teams for a refund". Few weeks later, nothing happen and I have to harassed them on social media to get a response but they deleted my comment. It's been going on like this since October 2022. I ordered items from them for the first time around May 2022 but only some items has arrived but came so late obviously and the worst part is the refund for only 1 item that was not in stock never arrive!! Then, I gave up because of their false promises but I know I have the right to get my money back.. so, few weeks ago (March 2023) I contacted them about it, but still the same thing happen. In short, they are scammers and thieves.. and lazy. Even if it's only for 1 item, they have no right to ignore their customers. We don't deserve that! It's a crime on what they just did! Just stay away from them!

Most importantly, just don't fall or buy anything from them even though the merch that they are selling are based on your favorite bands/artists. I know already that they are not authentic merchs even my favorite band said so about them. If you want to buy an authentic merchs from your fave bands/artists, just go to their official website store instead!

And I know I'm not the only one that Sumerian Merch has f**ked with, I read so many negative comments about them everywhere on social media and what other people said about them are absolutely f*ckin true! believe them as well! And I hope you guys read this before buying anything from them. Believe me, they are thieves and scammers, and lazy losers! and I don't want you guys to experience this stressful situation! They do deserve 0 stars instead of 1!

Zero customer service, £70+ of unfulfilled orders dating back almost 9 months

Have two separate unfulfilled orders, one dating back to July 2022, and the other from December 2022. Half of the order from July shipped and arrived (the items marked as pre order) but the other two singles, not marked as pre orders, have never been dispatched.
I’ve emailed 3 times in the past 4 months, once in December to which I had a response early January regarding my order from July in which I was told my merch would ship in the next couple of weeks, but I’ve heard absolutely nothing since, despite sending a further two emails.
Sumerian Merch have had my money out of my account (totalling £70+) since I placed the orders, but won’t even bother to provide any customer service. Definitely steer VERY clear and find your merch elsewhere.

Sumerian have provided nothing but false shipment dates and haven't shipped anything

Update 25th May: Still more of the same.

Update 15th May: Still heard absolutely nothing and have had no sign of the record.

I ordered two records from Sumerian in early December in two sep. One record showed up just after Christmas, albeit with no tracking notification to say it had been dispatched.

The second record has had no update whatsoever and is nowhere to be seen after over four months. Sumerian has offered no meaningful update and made nothing but empty statements and estimates about when they will be shipping. Not a company I would recommend.

If they knew orders would not be fulfilled, the items should have marked as preorder items rather than items that were readily available.

NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE

NON-EXISTENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Customer service never replies to emails. No published telephone number. Ash Avildsen's published number is disconnected. Shipments MONTHS late if honored at all. They're using "moving warehouses" as an excuse to cover up a poorly run business. Avildsen and/or his staff are either incompetent, dishonest or just don't care. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Don't place an order with 'Sumerian Records'!

I just wanted to post a message to all those who might be thinking about purchasing merchandise from 'Sumerian Merchandise UK / EU', the merchandising arm of 'Sumerian Records'. "Please don't", as you will lose your money. 'Sumerian Merchandise UK / EU' are taking customers money and not completing / fulfilling orders.

In November 2022 I purchased Nita Strauss's 'Controlled Chaos' album (vinyl), with no sign of the item well into January 2023. Therefore, I contacted 'Sumerian Merchandise UK / EU' in late January 2023, of which I received a reply informing me that they were in the middle of a warehouse transfer and would now be going under the name 'Awesome Merchandise'. My order would be delivered in the next couple of weeks.

After the reply I checked 'Trustpilot' to see if there were any reviews from other 'Sumerian Merchandise UK / EU' customers having similar experiences. There were numerous replies of unfilled order experiences and then the alarm bells really started to ring when I looked at 'Awesome Merchandise' on companies house in the UK. Companies house indicates that 'Awesome Merchandise' are in administration. So goodbye to my money!

I have contacted trading standards (UK) in March 2023 to see how I can get my money back, but unless Sumerian records communicate, it will be very difficult.

Item never arrived!!

I ordered a CD in November and emailed in January to ask where it was. I received an emailing saying the following 'We sincerely apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, we are currently undergoing a warehouse transition and therefore all order fulfillment has been temporarily put on hold until the transfer is complete, which we expect to be in the next few weeks. All pending orders are still saved in our system, but if you'd like to make any updates to the name, address, etc. or cancel your order altogether, please let us know and we can handle ASAP.' So I left it for another month. I still hadn't heard anything from them so I chased and asked for a refund in early Feb and now nothing. An email received saying the following - 'As 2023 approaches and with the new takeover here at Awesome we are transitioning over to a new emailing system. This does unfortunately mean that any replies to the old service software will be lost. Although we will be monitoring this inbox until the end the January please can you re send your reply to info at awesomemerchandise.com to make sure your email doesn't get lost in the weird world of the web. Thank you for your understanding!' I've reached out to this email address and still nothing. Do not buy from this website!

AVOID THIS SITE

Worst Shop/costumer service ever

Beginning of december i purchased clothes there.
January 6th i asked when i will get it.

Do not buy anything from here!

Ordered a shirt in the beginning of October for a concert at the end of November, thought it would be guaranteed to get here before the concert, right? Very wrong. It is now February, so I definitely have it now right? Wrong again. The worst part? I am still being charged for it. I have written multiple emails that they respond to after a few weeks but always just make us some excuse, and turns out they don't even have a phone number. What a horrible excuse of a company.

Purchased three vinyls from their ‘12…

Purchased three vinyls from their ‘12 days of Xmas’ range in early December! Got a confirmation email….that’s it! No vinyls, no updates, no replies to the multiple emails we’ve sent. Yet they can post daily rubbish tik toks on their social media! But responding to paying customers just seems like far too much effort. Basically take your money then f**c you.

Wish I could have given 0 stars. Placed an order 2nd week in November,3rd December I emailed them 3 times.no reply until today 6th Jan, saying they are revamp there warehouse that was it still no order. People plz don't send money to these scammers as.you won't get what you've paid for.
