I had an incredible experience on my…

I had an incredible experience on my recent trip with Summit Stoke. Before the adventure began, communication with the company owner was excellent-Amalie responded quickly to all my questions and provided helpful information. She also coordinated seamless airport pickup and drop off, which made the whole process stress free. The local accommodations were comfortable and the food was fantastic. Our guide - Estalin was truly top-notch - skilled, patient, and reassuring. He helped the more challenging climbs feel achievable! The Andes themselves “welcomed” us allowing us to reach each summit whether it was day or night, sunshine or rain (and we definitely had some of that!). In addition to climbing, we had few yoga sessions which was a great opportunity to rest - both body and mind! Overall, it was an unforgettable experience! Highly recommended!

Best Experience Ever!

I would highly recommend Summit Stoke! They are very conscientious with their planning and care a great deal about not only providing a great experience for the traveler but also for highlighting respect and knowledge of the places we visited. The communication was impeccable and our guide was fantastic. I not only always felt safe but also very welcome and learned alot. We did the Beginner Mountaineering program and loved every minute of it.

Amazing experience!

Besides Summit Stokes expertise in mountaineering in Ecuador, they also do tours in other parts of Ecuador (We contacted them since they share so many amazing photos and videos on their Instagram!). We booked a trip to Galapagos with Summit Stoke, and it was a fantastic and perfectly planned tour where we could lean back and just follow the programme that Summit Stoke had made for us. If going to Ecuador again, we will definitely reach out to Summit Stoke! Thank you guys 🙌🏼

Unforgettable Ecuadorian summits

My partner and I participated in the intermediate expedition in July 2024. From Day 1 of inquiring the itinerary, Amalie (the co-owner) was incredibly responsive and attentive to our questions. She was honest with her responses and provided useful feedback where necessary. Summit Stoke engaged a top-notch, English-speaking guide and cautious driver for our expedition. We felt incredible safe during the climbs as well as the drives across the country. The itinerary is quite unique compared to other similar companies. Notably, the rock climbing sessions and the glacier training were useful in reaching the summits safely. We would certainly consider Summit Stoke for our next Andean adventures.

Successfully summited Cotopaxi with Summit Stoke

I successfully summited Cotopaxi with Summit Stoke in 2022. They made sure I was well acclimatized by including Corazón and Iliniza North in my itinerary. When climbing Chimborazo wasn't possible due to conditions, they were super flexible and I was able to pivot to Cayambe instead. My guide Fatima was attentive and super knowledgeable. Not only does she know the mountains well but she has great relationships with the local climbing community. After my tour, I was in an accident and Amalie went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. It was one less thing to worry about during a time of panic. Would definitely recommend the team at Summit Stoke!!!!

Volcán Cotopaxi summit

I hiked Volcan Cotopaxi and my guide was Alberto. He was professional, reliable and a lot of fun. I couldn't have had a better partner for tackling Cotopaxi. Gracias Alberto!

Vikinca got me a spot on The Inca Trail two weeks from then!!

Peru was the last country on my three month Central & Southamerica solo trip in the fall of 2018. I only had 2,5 weeks in the spectacular country and I am sooo grateful for Vikinca Travel’s help! They gave me – without charge – an itinerary proposal for what to see when and for how long to stay at the different locations to get the best experience. They advised me on which bus company to travel cross country with, recommended hostels in the different cities, museums and more. And I even got picked up by taxi from the bus terminal in Ica and driven to the front door of my hostel in Huancachina for free! “You’re a friend of Alberto (one of the two competent founders of Vikinca) – so you don’t have to pay.” And the same thing happened when I travelled on from Huacachina! But best and most incredible of all: Vikinca somehow managed to find me a spot on the one and only Inca Trail to the lost city of Machu Picchu starting only a few weeks from then – normally they are booked months ahead!! I had looked around on the internet myself too and found a company with a vacant spot on the trek but the one Vikinca then wrote me that they had found cost 90$ less than the one I had found myself. That trek is still the coolest thing I – the not-at-all sporty, skinny girl – have accomplished; together with my tours in and around Cusco the days before the trek and the day trip to astonishing Rainbow Mountain the day before I took 156,560 steps (an average of 17,395 a day), walked 88.4 kilometers and climbed 688 floors in nine days. Cusco has taught me that I should not underestimate what I can do!
In short Vikinca Travel is: thorough, reliable, pleasant to do business with, competent and knowledgeable. My easiest recommendations!

The wonders of Ecuador - unlimited natural beauty. The best nature vacation i ever had

I cannot recommend this company enough! Like many people i had never really considered travelling to Ecuador or even to South America, but i was giving the opportunity to experience this amazing country, when i was invited to go last month. Every tour we did was organized by Vikinca who took incredibly good care of us and somehow managed to satisfy every member of my travel group! (Which is especially impressive considering the huge difference in age of the members 25-80+) There was something for everyone, relaxing, hiking, mountain climbing, nature watching, history, everything! Before i went, it was my believe that Ecuador and South America was mostly for backpackers and adventurers, but through this incredible agency you get to experience everything that a backpacker could want, but with the luxury, care and comfort of a vacation in Europe. If you would like to experience the wonders of South America, and you don't want to sleep in hostels and are unsure whether you could handle or even enjoy the backpacker style trip, then i cannot recommend Vikinca enough. Nothing could ever prepare you for the beauty of Ecuadors nature and wildlife, whether it would be the Andes highlands, the Jungle, or Galapagos. Everything exceeded expectations and if you would like to experience the same and make sure that your trip to Ecuador will be unforgetable, then Vikinca is the place to go.
