The worst coffee machine for your home

On Monday 31st August 2020 I bought Sunbeam Easy Clean Drip Filter Coffee Machine PC7800 for the house but Maria told me the coffee tastes terrible and it leaks everywhere, which causes a hazard in the kitchen because it is only a matter of time before somebody get themselves electrocuted.

Poor quality and customer service

I bought a Sunbeam ice blender after researching and it being well reviewed. It was more than I wanted to pay but felt it was an investment. I’m uncertain if the reviews were false or I got a faulty model but it did not work well from the outset and stopped working completely at less than a month old. I would have been more understanding had consumer service not given me the runaround. After time on hold, then all the admin, videos and paperwork they requested they promised to send a replacement part. It had not arrived 2 weeks later and when I followed up they said when they tried to get a replacement part there were none. They made no effort to tell me this when they could have saved me two weeks of waiting and offered only a token apology and told me to sort something out myself with the retailer. Thankfully the retailer was helpful and replaced it with a much better quality competitor brand blender. Will not buy Sunbeam appliances again.

The Sunbeam Customer Care Service…

The Sunbeam Customer Care Service employs call centre workers from the Philippines. When you are attempting to receive a repair/replacement part it is painfully difficult to understand their accent, and frustrating to ask them to repeat their statements. To prevent miscommunication you are given the additional task of asking them to repeat themselves with constructive phrases like "Sorry I didn't catch that" or "Could you please repeat that?" when you actually want to say "Could you please hand the phone to someone who can speak English?". Given that you are representing the Australian division of Sunbeam/Newell Brands, it would be advantageous to employ staff with a clear Western anglo-saxon accent or someone with an accent which is comprehensible to the customers living in the location you purport to represent.
