Sad to say this feels terrible on my skin even though it came highly recommended by a friend. I've tried a lot of zinc sunscreens too, I'm not new to natural sunscreen. This sits on my skin like a thick oily layer, if I touch my skin hours after applying it my fingers still glide around on my face as though I've just applied it. It never feels absorbed or dry. My hair sticks firmly to it and I just can't get my mind off how uncomfortable my skin feels. I'm glad it meets the SPF it claims, and the packaging is great, but I won't be re-purchasing. The hunt continues...

I’ve purchased sun screen in the past and it’s been ok

Today I went onto the store to order sunscreen and there is a waterproof sunscreen - I thought this would be good to order - the website did not let me know that the product is a forthcoming product and I must say not at all happy with the customer service as they only have an email respond a few times and then when they ask you do you want a refund and you say Yes then they ignore your email and contact not at all impressed and am frustrated and pissed off - won’t be ordering or purchasing from Sun Butter ever again

Finally found a phone number to be able to speak / text with a person - hopefully I can get my order cancelled for forthcoming product that under no circumstances did website warn me about and I only found out when got invoice - so so not impressed

I developed an itchy bumpy skin rash in Queensland while using this sunscreen for the first time. Being Victorian I assumed I'd picked up something from the sea or birds on Heron Island. I used the sunscreen again on my forearms yesterday, eight months later, and now have the same sore, itchy sensations on my forearms today. This is just a warning for others who may be susceptible, and may assume this product, which sounds so mild and sustainable could not be the cause. It could be. Warnings on the tin would be useful.

Plain and simple, it works.
We used the untinted version, application was easy, not as thick as others. Smell was pretty neutral, no fragrance, but also not stinky. Travels nicely in the tin. No teary eyes. Used it on the reef and we were impressed about its efficiency. Well done. Just the price sucks but considering we didn't have to buy a litre of after sun it was cost effective too. Can't fault a thing. Will buy again.

I absolutely can't get enough of the Protetive hair serum!
It is such an amazing product, I started using it for my hair, but now I also use it as a moisturiser on my arms and legs. You only need the smallest amount and it goes a long way. Leaves hair, body, hands, so soft and smelling delicious!
And I LOVE the Rosemary smell.
I have also had some wonderful customer service.

Tinted sunscreen stains my clothing to an orangey brown and nearly impossible to get out of clothes. I bought it to wear for working outside, but my workshirts now have stains around the collar and anywhere that came in contact with my face. I found it’s very heavy and sticky, and doesn’t rub in, at the end of the day I needed to triple wash and scrub my face to get it all off again. Not a fan sadly.

Tinted option will stain your clothing!
While it does offer great protection, it’s not the best to use on the face as it will form beads of sweat & just sit on the surface if it’s really hot.
Also, their level of customer service is non existent if you contact them via Messenger - although you can see that your message has been seen.

The product is great. Easy to apply. Took a little bit to rub it in though there you know it is a quality “butter” and barrier on the skin.
I used it in Bali, a humid climate, it did run off watery with sweat.
Overall decent protection from very high UV.

I love the SunButter sunscreen and zinc. The packaging is beautiful and convenient to use. I appreciate how the sunscreen isn't greasy and leaves my skin looking great. I also love that the zinc blends well with my skin tone and provides lasting protection during long surf sessions without causing sunburn.

Absolutely LOVE the tinted zinc, not pasty like other zincs when applied and love that there’s no nasty chemicals being left on my kids skin as well!!

I truly LOVE sunbutter. I am not using any other sunscreens anymore. When my mum came to Australia to visit me she used sunbutter en fell in love. She asked me to order a bundle for her to bring to France ! I recimmand sunbutter to everyone I meet. It is really hard to find good su screen with good ingredients for yourself AND for the environment.

super thick, felt like a super hydrating moisturiser but was also an overnight mask! perfect to use after the exfoliating mask as well

SunButter sunscreen is now the only sunscreen I will buy! I have eczema and sensitive skin and wanted a sunscreen that doesn’t contain any reef or body harming chemicals. SunButter protects my skin and keeps it happy! No reactions ever which is amazing. The consistency of the sunscreen is great and a little goes a long way so the tin lasts a long time too. Have been using the sunscreen for nearly 2 years and swear by it. Thank you SunButter for changing the sunscreen game! 💕

I wanted a sunscreen that suit my skin( as i am pretty sensitive ) and also reef friendly and Sunbutter combined both ! I love the texture and it last for ages as you don't need to use a lot to be efficient , super easy to apply and the price is fair ! I am using it while surfing and it's amazing.
Great customer service aswell and actif instagram page which help to check products ans review from other customers. I actually need to make a new order soon !

We were looking for a sunscreen that was reef friendly and found Sunbutter! It is amazing and I cannot rate it highly enough! I love that it's not sticky, you don't need heaps and it doesn't sting your eyes! It lasts all day out fishing even being in and out of the water.
The face scrub is delightful as well and helps get the sunscreen off at the end of the day!
Their customer service is amazing and Aria was beyond helpful with my order!!
If you're thinking about it - just do it!!

I have a tower of Sunbutter SPF50 Sunscreen piling up in my room. I’ve been using it for years and it’s an amazing product. I have extremely sensitive skin so everything reacts to it except this sunscreen and it’s reef safe. So I know it’s not hurting the dolphins when I’m out surfing:)
