I’m really impressed with how this case makes the Pi 5 resemble a small desktop system. Assembly might be a little challenging for someone who has never put together a DIY kit before, but it doesn’t require any advanced knowledge. The manual was straightforward and easy to understand. I ran into a minor issue with their custom software, but their support team was outstanding — they responded almost immediately and helped me get everything working quickly. I’d highly suggest this case to anyone wanting to give their Raspberry Pi 5 an upgraded and polished feel.

This is the second Pironman enclosure I’ve purchased—I own both the standard Pironman and the Pironman Max. These cases are fantastic and provide extra confidence with expanded storage options, improved cooling, and an attractive appearance.

I've tried a variety of Sun Founder modules in my experiments, and they've always delivered reliable, well-made components. This touchscreen is exactly what I needed for my upcoming SDR ham radio transceiver project. Since the interface will involve frequent tapping, the screen works well. Keep in mind that it used resistive touch instead of capacitive, so it reqauired. For my use case, though, using a pointer makes selecting items on the small display much easier.

I tried Arduino 3-in-1 kit and Picar-X. Both of them are great and come with great online tutorials. My kid (6yo) did most of the assembling and I went over some code and logic with him. He really liked the Arduino car tracking a black tape/line and played with creating a course with crossings. By editing the logic, we can see how the car follows a different path at the fork. Customizing and interacting with LLM is great. There are many projects in these kits, and being able to modify code easily gives a great learning experience.

This has become my preferred kit for Raspberry Pi projects because it performs well and is quick. The instructions are good and assembly took roughly an hour — the design is thoughtful and everything fits neatly. Customer support was helpful when I reached out. Additional software installs easily and takes effect after a reboot. The LEDs look fantastic. I have no affiliation — just a very pleased customer.

It has been a blast building and setting up my Pironman 5-MAX. They have been easy to build and the guides to installing the software have been easy to follow. I like them so much I now have 3 set up and running. I have one with Openmediavault set up as a Raid 1 with two 4tb 990EVOplus drives, I save everything I don't want to lose on this box. #2 also has Openmediavault and PLEX installed and is used to play my movies, it had two 4tb 990EVOplus drives in Raid 0, giving me lots of room to store movies. #3 has Raspberry PI OS (legacy, 64-bit) Full. I use this box to get on the internet and connect to PLEX to play movies on my big TV. This set up works out great for me. I am happy I found the Pironman 5-MAX.

This case is so attractive I nearly repurposed it as a display piece instead of using it as my boat’s small Pi server — I’ll probably buy another just to showcase. Why I like it: assembly took less than an hour and was enjoyable. The instructions are clear and even as a beginner I had no trouble installing the GitHub packages to get the LEDs, fans, and OLED running. All rear ports are reachable and you can route a ribbon cable to the Pi’s GPIO header. Definitely planning to get a second unit for display.

I ordered a Pironman 5 MAX with a Raspberry Pi 5 and an 1TB SSD. The shipping times were as advertised.
The SSD arrived faulty/not working, but the customer support was very helpful and we managed to find a solution.
Everything else was perfectly adequate. The case itself is well built and has great instructions. The site was also very useful for troubleshooting problems and setting stuff up.

I purchased a PiDog kit from SunFounder as a christmas present from my family to me (so i have not yet built the PiDoG) but i have been very impressed with SunFounders support so far.
There was an issue where the PiDog got ssent back to sender due to it having "Batteries" in the box and postal companies freak out by this fact these days for some reason.
SunFounder were aware of this and immediately sorted re-sending the kit though their "european warehouse" and this then meant that the kit arrived the next day.
Support wee very helpful and did not mess around sorting this issue for me.
I look forward to Christmas when i will finally be able to get tinkering.

Amazing little case for your raspberry pi. Keeps the board cool and it matches my setup. Love the design and a plus that it comes with nvme expansion slot

Card number stolen.
I use a virtual card number for online purchases, especially for new sites that I have not used before.
Ordered a Pironman 5 case after recommendation from a review site and 2 days later my card got charged close to $6000 from Delta and Southwest. Was able to dispute and cancel but it definitely came from this Sunfounder transcation.
Do NOT buy from this company!

I paid by PAYPAL and i received a 4PX tracking number.
After that i noticed that for the next 7 days the order did not left from China.
I send to them an email and they told me the shiping was lost and that they will send it again.

Pathetic Customer support and they are only reponsive post sales as and when they want to revert back to the customer. I placed my order on 24th may, 2024 and I was told that it will be shipped on Monday 27th May, 2024 and until 30th May today they have not shared the tracking details nor dispatched my product even after sending multiple emails. Please do not order on their webiste as they are negligent and unprofessonal.

I really enjoyed the hands on portion with the assemble it yourself. Great customer service and educational.

The PiCrawler is moderately easy to build as long as you read the printed instructions and swap between the down loadable PDF, it is important to zero the servo motors before assembling the legs as each leg must be set at the correct angle..

The PDF instruction are very detailed the first 3 chapters cover programming via Python programming language. Chapter 4 covers EZBLOCK Studio which uses an App to interface with the PiCrawler, this is the simplest method to understand and experiment with programming for beginners where python is more advanced programming. There are some good preloaded samples that cover all important aspects of controlling the robot.

I am pleased with this purchase it its a good learning machine for beginners. The PiCrawler walks slowly across the floor in preference to wheel vehicle that can crash The Robot has endless programming possibilities with its advance features intelligent obstacle avoidance and tracking. I have had good support from Sun founders with email query and you will have to supply a Raspberry Pi, 2 18650 batteries and a charger
