Extremely disappointed, card machine not working when I came in, looked at like we couldn’t afford our food, no apology when everyone else hit the same issue. Low on food, no pizza, no hot sandwiches, friends that ordered at the same time got their food followed by everyone else in the queue behind me with the same order as minimal options. Went to ask, it was on its way, others continuing to get their food, went back in, then they came to give me my food over the bar, sauce was missing from inside the sandwich, starving by now, food was cold, asked for a manager and was told “I have to go in and tell them” though it was fair enough if they where busy, bar was dead. I went in after, they started questioning how long I waited and were very sorry but all they could offer was a free drink. Just extremely disappointed at how much Ipaid for a couple of cold fish finger sandwich and not being able to eat with the rest of my group.

Served cold food, curry from a jar. Nice pint but poor food. No apology or customer service skills to rectify the issue.

My family and I visited Pooley Bridge for the 1st time recently.

Parking generally was an issue, not helped by the Sun Inn's "patrons only" parking policy. A car park that was no where near full when we visited.

It transpired that this meant only whilst actively spending money in the Sun Inn.

My mother also had the misfortune of viewing a member of staff vehemently arguing with a patron regarding the detail of above.

Neither of above one would describe as consistent with the "family friendly" ethos of The Sun Inn's web site.

Going forward, our large family will, despite the natural beauty of Pooley Bridge, be visiting the plethora of alternative locations in The Lake District.
