I recently had discussions with Edd Neill from Sunsave about a potential solar panel installation, and I must say, his service was exceptional. From the start, Edd was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the pricing and consultation process. His communication was clear and timely, and he went above and beyond to ensure I had all the information needed to make an informed decision.
Although we decided not to proceed with Sunsave, Edd’s professionalism and dedication truly stood out. His efforts and customer-focused approach were second to none, and I believe his work deserves recognition. Thank you, Edd, for making the experience such a positive one.

Just finished the install with Sunsave. Very easy process to follow and the support from the team was great throughout. Easily contactable and supportive with any queries.
Highly recommend if you are wanting a manageable solar installation.
Included a last minute request for a EV charger and they were more than helpful getting it added to the quote.

I've had a great experience with Sunsave, who despite apparently being quite busy according to all of these reviews, managed to treat me as if I was one of their only few customers. They've got their heads screwed on, the salesperson I initially spoke to answered all of my questions when I had them. I of course was sceptical about signing up with them, but I did my due diligence, and they weren't promising me the earth to get me to sign up either. I went in to the arrangement very much with my eyes open. Signing up with Sunsave is so much better than paying a huge upfront cost and then being left to deal with everything yourself. They offer an ongoing supportive relationship for the duration of your equipments life. I could never afford to pay out for all of this equipment and the repayment interest is less than my mortgage. That's the key thing. If you're worried about selling your house with this relationship in place, you can settle the agreement early with the extra money you make from having panels fitted to your house in the first place. Or the new people can take on the contract, it's not very likely they'd turn it down. It's not that big of a deal if you consider it.
Everything happened exactly when it should have in terms of installation, no messing about, no rearranging, everything was finished in 2 days on my terraced property. I think the most difficult part of the process was going around getting the pictures of around the property so that they could prepare for the installation, and that was hardly a chore.
As for the solar itself, I've already been generating enough to power my house and charge the battery even in winter. Of course it's going to vary due to the weather but I've literally expected nothing. I'm still waiting for Octopus to set up my export tariff so I've actually been exporting for free at the moment (that is nothing to do with Sunsave, they provided all of the documents as soon as they got them). I'm looking forward to being able to sign up to the Virtual Power Plant which is leveraging their customer base and their batteries for the good of the grid and getting paid for it. They've even paid attention to such details as bird protection, as I didn't realise pigeons really like getting under panels until they mentioned it. I've now noticed so many installations in my area without it, which makes me somewhat smug.
It really is worth doing. I'm very happy and so long as they manage to scale their customer service along with the huge increase in business they will no doubt get when word gets around about them, then I can't imagine I will ever have any issues. They've got to maintain their side of their relationship otherwise their business model doesn't work. If you're not sure about any of this then speak to them. You'll soon see.

Sunsave were efficient throughout the process in terms of communication and arranging things. Where there were challenges, they worked well with us, and the service level seems high. Hoping for good savings to come, and happy to recommend the service during the installation.

Solar save were grate throughout our whole experience, we chose them for the no upfront cost, yes over the years we'll pay a little extra but we now feel protected against rising energy costs and the estimated savings provided by Solar Save are clearly thorough and promising. We didn't feel pressured by the sales team who were happy to answer any questions we had before committing to anything. All the contractors that installed the equipment were professional, friendly and respectful of our property. The support team and after sales team have also been very helpful, available at all times and clearly very knowledgeable. Can't recommend Sunsave enough.

From beginning to install this has been such an easy process. There has been support at every stage of the way.
There is no way we would have been able to get a solar and battery install without sunsave.

We have wanted to have solar for a long time but were put off by the high upfront costs. Sunsave has come up with a brilliant model - no upfront costs and monthly outgoings cheaper than our existing electricity bills. What’s not to love?! Everything has been very transparent and efficient and everyone we dealt with has been helpful and happy to take as much time as needed to work through our questions.

Amazing company to deal with, if you're thinking of Solar and like me didn't want to or can't afford the high costs of paying up front, then this service is wonderful. They run through every detail, what you can save over a time period and for me, a no brainer.
Yes you have to pay a monthly amount over 20 years or if you want to move, you can pass the service on or sell and add the cost to the selling price of the property.
Installation was fantastic and of the highest quality.
Highly recommended and wonderful to deal with.

The product's initial explanation was great; the 20-year payment plan is a strong option for those who want to spread the cost of solar.
My main issue was with the claim of "no hidden costs." I discovered a £3-4k installation cost mark-up for the 20-year plan compared to an outright purchase. Sunsave attributed this to increased risk they take over the long term, but it was not obvious upfront, making it feel like a hidden cost that contradicted their promise. They acknowledged the issue when I highlighted it and offered an acceptable discount.
The physical installation went well, although the installers left a mess of brick dust inside and outside the house.
Post-installation, I've had recurring battery issues over the past three weeks. I’ve had to spot 3-4 problems myself and raise them, leading me to question their proactive monitoring and maintenance service, which appears to be reactive instead. The battery issue is still unresolved and I’m waiting for feedback.
Overall, I would likely recommend this to a friend who can't afford the upfront cost of solar, especially for those needing flexible payment. However, be prepared for potential communication hiccups and inconsistent execution in their post-install service.

Further update - December 25 - Sunsave pulled out all the stops, have now installed and we’re well away. Overall a five star experience- thanks Sunsave and Pippa especially. Update- a few days after posting this review Sunsave reached out to discuss and have managed to organise an alternative product which can be provided. So far this is really promising and contracts have been installation is booked so I will delete and report back on the project soon. Thank you sunsave and Pippa. *Spent a long while researching Solar and were really pleased to find Sunsave. The sales aspect was really good and lots of helpful advice given so we signed all contracts. The issues arose once we’d agreed to proceed and were sent install documents which included very specific instructions as to where we’d like the battery and inverter positioned in the loft (which all documentation to this point had also suggested would’ve been where install would be) and we added photos. This is when sunsave said that their policy had changed and loft installs were no longer possible - they were very apologetic but essentially two months wasted and no real answers from them as to why this had changed just lots of wishy washy comments around regulations. Any alternate options we suggested were again ruled out and the onus was pushed on to us for not complying when literally every document shows tha install will be in the loft. Very disappointing

Sunsave could not have been more straight forward to deal with.
From the initial inquiry, discussion of the options to arranging the installation.
They have responded promptly to any questions.
For my circumstances Sunsave has been my best option.

I finally decided to get solar panels along with a battery. With the cost of energy going up what seems like every other month and also my little part in combating climate change. I use Hive and decided to go with them for my installation along with Sunsave. I’m really impressed with the ease of getting my survey completed and the installation arrangement and completed. I was kept informed along the way by Sunsave. I’m looking forward to seeing a difference in my electricity bills.
