Supabase is a honestly a brilliant SAAS

Supabase is a honestly a brilliant backend-as-a-service. It's very comparable to Google's Firebase, but I like the Supabase way more. They pour so much dedication and care into their features; it's really impressive. We use it as our backend at onamap.org.

Good for beginners like me. I am building my saas using cursor. I am using supabase for my backend like auth, db and storage. Its very user friendly and cost effective.

I'm happy to build with Supabase!

I'm happy to build with Supabase. My SaaS app for iOS/Android is fully powered by Supabase auth & database. Works really well. Looking forward to implementing more and more features in the future with the power of Supabase! Highly recommend it for any simple SaaS product!

Impossible to sign up!

Impossible to sign up!

Tried to sign up. Sent a link to my email. Clicked on it immediately but it said link expired. no option to create a new link. support doesn't respond. Utterly useless

Supabase is a cheapskate disaster

SupaBase is a cheapskate disaster. They paused several of my active projects without warning.

It’s obvious they’re sabotaging free users to force upgrades which is not ethical at all for any business.

If they AT LEAST gave a heads up that they are going to be cheapskates and pause random projects that take up less than 1MB, it would not result in as much disruption.

This has caused serious disruption and delays to my business performance, several complaints from my clients and cost me hours of lost productivity and profits. Avoid this platform if you value your time and your business performance.

FYI - we don't paused projects based on the size - the automatically pause after 7 days without receiving any traffic.

We send 3 emails in the lead up to pausing an unused database. Could you check your spam?

Not performing well enough

Supabase is great. It really is, I love the product, I love how easy it is to setup your backend, just about everything.

And when I started working with it half a year ago, everything was working fine. Two months ago though, the performance in the evenings (German time) dropped. It all works great during the day but in the evening, the queries are running forever. No the client facing queries but the queries on the dashboard. I can't do anything. Safari, Chrome, Edge, same behavior.

I can't open a support ticket because I'm on the free plan. They're not willing to help on github so I really have no other option than to move on to another backend service. It's sad because I've spent a lot of time on that but I can't waste any more time on this.

You actually can open a support ticket (or just email support@supabase.io). We get a lot of tickets from users on the Free Plan. We obviously need to prioritise customers who are paying, but if you're having infra problems then we definitely want to know about it and fix it.

This is sad I am moving out...

Supabase has a good feature and offers. At first, I fell in love with it and was proud to show its features and abilities to my friends and co-workers. However, sadly, I can no longer stand the toxic community, especially when someone asks for help.

They're good at it; their mother tongue is English. But what about those people who have a hard time processing and understanding everything?

Developers have different levels, which is why we have students, juniors, mids, and seniors. They don't have to act like they're our bosses, mocking us.

After six days of self-help, I fixed the problem. I shared my solution, hoping for some appreciation. Instead, I received downvotes and dislikes. It's disheartening to see my hard work disregarded.
