I ordered three cables during their Kickstarter in 2020: two USB-A to Lightning for our iPhones, and one USB-A to USB-C. I can't report on the A-to-C cable because I gave it to a friend.
I've used a USB-A to Lightning cable for a while now. I wrap the magnets around a light stand. BUT the Lightning connector quickly wore down and for at least three years the iPhone has reported shorts ("water present" message when connecting). My older SE-2020 could charge, especially if I plugged and unplugged it several times, but my daughter's newer phone could never charge. The degradation of the connector is visibly obvious, especially when compared to an Apple cable of the same age or even a cheap cable from a local big box store.
This was annoying, but I can get used to things, and I don't like to buy new things if I don't have to.
Today I was finally fed up with the more frequent messages and inability to charge and decided to dump the old USB-A-to-Lightning cable for my pristine spare.
THE SPARE DOESN'T WORK. AT. ALL.
No message about a short. It just doesn't work.
The magnet concept is cute -- my first Kickstarter! -- but the quality of the Lightning connector is the worst. The failure of the spare to work at all, I don't know what that is, but it is a disappointment. I don't want a replacement or a warranty claim. I've used a cable for years now despite its long-standing issues -- that's why two stars and not one -- and it's enough. But I don't want any of their cables again.
I have ordered during their kickstart period the USB B and C cables to lighting etc. After a long period of waiting I received the cables, all good and ready to use them. Now not more then 2 years later , all the USB-B to lighting cables are broken (also messages from iPhone that there is leakage detected). And there is absolutely no way they react on my complaint. I have sent them already 3 times an email but it remains completely silent. Conclusion for me, never again I will order a Supercalla cable! You can better use your money chosing another cable. Quality of your company is how you react to complaints!!
They took my money and did not send me a product. Instead asked me to send more money. Where can I get my money back? Nowhere. SCAM!
I have owned several of these cables for a while now and they’re simply junk. I get “charging not available” or “liquid detected” errors from my devices when using the cables.
It is now over 1 year ago I did order something on Kickstarter. And I still did not receive anything.
Really bad company, just sending e-mail and e-mail about delay delay delay. Don't want to wait anymore.
