Don't get caught

This company obtains personal details and will phone you in an attempt to secure a quick sale. Was immediately suspicious when they called trying to sell me a policy I already have with the retail outlet.

*** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY***

They discriminate against you depending on the make of your device as to what level of service you receive ! I tried to make a claim on my Android phone for a new screen, and they stated that I would have to send my phone away for 5-7 days (possibly longer) for assessment and repair, which is completely unrealistic as I didnt have a replacement phone to use, and I use my phone everyday ! They stated however if my phone was an IPHONE I could have walked into an approved Apple shop the same day and had my phone repaired, and all I would have to do is produce the receipt !! I thought why should an Apple user receive a higher level of service then me, when I pay the EXACT same premium every month as they do !!! So I got my phone repaired same day and sent them the receipt, and a letter from the shop confirming they had used genuine Samsung parts. Supercover said they still wouldn't pay out and this was the end of the matter !!! 😲 Not once did they address the discrimination or lower level of service I received because I owned an Android, and there is nothing stated in the insurance policy regarding this discrimination and unfair treatment towards its customers !! **** DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ***

Don’t Expect Much from Next Gen Gadet Insurance

When you lose a phone or have it stolen (in my case it was stolen) what do you need the most? That’s right, a replacement phone, and quickly. It took over a week of hours per day to get to that point where they even despatched a replacement & that will take 3-5 working days. Therefore I will be without my phone for nearly 2 weeks (assuming it actually arrived).

Silly me thinking all I needed was a Crime Reference number & the original receipt for my phone. You are asked for a bewildering array of reports from your Network Provider. If any of the reports aren’t in the exactly correct format then you have to start again. They do not accept forwarded emails (can you believe that). Yet your network provider cannot or should not send your personal data to anyone else due to GDPR regs. That took days to get round!

They then only send a refurbished phone, whatever they have in stock. Because they’ve kept you waiting for so long, you don’t argue, you are just grateful for getting a phone, any phone.

Please bear in mind that all of the above relates to a claim that can’t be worth more than £350 to Next Gen?

In summary - I would strongly advise against purchasing from Next Gen Gadget Insurance. Even if it costs a bit more, I suggest you go for someone who provides guaranteed next day replacement etc. Or don’t but the insurance at all. The most you’ll be saving yourself is £300 and you’ll pay for that in time & hassle!

Terrible cover with terrible service - avoid this company

Terrible cover with terrible service. Was sold the policy as super cover, broke my phone, and I was told it takes up to 10 working days to get your phone fixed and sent back to you. Who can wait this long in this day and age without offering a device in the meantime??

I spent 18 minutes on a phone call to find out this information. Policy was missold to me with misleading advice. Made a complaint to these people who I have been paying to be informed that even though its them who take the money off my bank account the insurance was some company called voice mobile Ltd. dreadful service and would avoid them at all costs

If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would avoid at all cost.

Phone sent back for damaged screen and when it was returned the screen was fixed but the side button on iPhone would not work. I could not fully install the phone and could not delete the phone to send back. After 6 weeks since my original claim the have said that they will only fix the phone if I paid the excess again for a new claim and that they did not break it. The phone worked fine when it left me as I would not have been able to delete it if the button was already broken.
Complete scam company trying to get multiple excess payments wanting people to just pay as they have had their phone for so long. Terrible company!

Keep Away - Dishonest and Terrible Customer Services Company

3 months ago I had my mobile replaced. For the past month my mobile has been acting very strangely: lagging on launching camera, muting microphone and speaker, freezing, generally lagging.
I got I touch with Supercover and been told their supplier who supplied my mobile only gives 90 days warranty and for the records, the length of warranty changes according to the replacement supplier - we customers cannot change this, we are not informed of this and in my case my replacement was sent by MMI (one of the suppliers) I got 90 days warranty, if little Johnny (anyone) gets his replacement from another supplier, he will get a different warranty; although we pay for the same services, for the same cover with the same provider but is all about lucky. It all depends on which mobile supplier will replace your current broken mobile and this is not something us the customers can opt-in/out for the longest 1 year usual warranty for electric goods in the UK.
I raised a complaint as I felt they were breaking my customer rights, being unfair and acting discriminatorily. This practice goes against many principles, however, Michelle from customer services did not accept my complaint, was talking over me during my phone call demonstrating the lack of professionalism.
After being with them for 2 years, 1 claim, this is how they care about me.
Lack of communication, lack of fairness and dishonesty are the qualities I can attribute to SuperCover.
I then cancelled my plan and will insure my 3 mobile handsets with another provider.

Avoid avoid avoid

I would not suggest insuring any mobile phones or similar with this Company. Customer service is poor to non existent and making a claim is a nightmare. Emails are answered by asking for security information. When you give this the original email is ignored. They are happy to take your monthly premiums but less happy to pay out and will try anything to avoid doing so. Add to your home insurance instead it is likely to be cheaper and better service
