Superprof has been an excellent platform for me to advertise my tutoring expertise!!! I love how the platform is extremely supportive to my needs and has offered me assistance when I have needed it. My overall user experience has been phenomenal!!! The website is super easy to navigate and I would recommend Superprof to anyone!!! Tutors and students alike!!! There are so many skilled tutors on Superprof and there are so many new things waiting to be learned!!!

I have been teaching by meeting clients on Superprof for a few years. It is a great way to find people all over the world, who are looking for a tutor with the specific knowledge they are seeking. The site has video conference ability of its own, though you can also arrange to meet through other venues if necessary.

I’ve been a tutor on Superprof since 2024 and it has been an amazing experience connecting with students and teaching vocals. The in-site video calls can be improved upon but overall, it is very effective to work with. Seamless payment and all.

I think it does a great job of connecting tutors with people who want help. The User interface is not too elaborate, which makes it really easy to navigate.

Horrible and non responsive customer service. I messaged one tutor and his response made me feel uncomfortable moving forward with this service so I immediately decided to deactivate my account and request refund. After many emails, still no one has gotten back to me. I believe this website to be a scam. They claim to have a great Customer Service and get back to you quickly, but they don’t get back to you at all so beware!

NEGATIVE STARS!!! Superprof website markets messaging tutors initially for free, regardless of what their contradictory terms and conditions hidden on the site say. Their terms say: "In order to message tutors, you will be asked to pay a monthly subscription fee of $49, which is not connected with an individual tutor's rates. Your initial payment will only be fully processed once you have received an accepted request from a tutor." This is a contradictory statement and nulls and voids their terms legally due to that... they also market it on the home page as being free to reach out to several tutors requesting lessons AND first lesson free. Whether or not they are affiliated with/ supplied (AI or otherwise) the fake tutor that "accepted" my lesson fraudulently without following through is not in my visibility. But what was visible was a dishonest "tutor" who accepted my lesson so I was charged $49 and never offered me any lesson but rather sent me a venmo requesting additional money! The fact that the "tutor" was dishonest and my lesson was never actually accepted in the honest/ follow-through capacity it should have been, means that Superprof owes me a refund. I will update this IF I ever get one. But I would not be surprised if they are using AI scammers or AI scammers hacked them and are using their loose business model with contradictory terms/ marketing and cracks galour to exploit and try and get more money out of people through venmo!

Horrible customer service and a VERY difficult refund process. Signing up as a student is not transparent at all and if you get a tutor that is a scam, they don't help you out with refund process.

I have been using super prof as a teacher for years. Their page is super easy to navigate and I consistently receive a good stream of clients via there page. Everything runs smoothly, would highly recommend.

I'm getting great clients with superprof!

This is a scam! Do not use Superprof! They will take your $49, and never provide the services. I never received a tutor for my child, who was supposed to be at my house--surprise, she lied and said she couldn't do it. Now, I'm stuck with my bank trying to get this money refunded back to me. Superprof said that this refund is out of their hands. Bullsh1t.

I signed up for Superprof to find a tutor in September 2024. Their payment page showed "$49" but never indicated it was a recurring monthly charge. It said "Non-Binding Subscription," which I read as no obligation.

They charged me $49 every month for 17 months. $833 total. I never had a single tutoring session. Not one.

None of their emails ever mentioned the $49 charge amount. Their renewal reminder said "free lessons" and "no commitment." No price. No dollar amount. Nothing.

When I contacted them citing the federal disclosure law (ROSCA), they refunded 12 months but refused the other 5. Called it a "gesture of goodwill."

If you sign up for Superprof, screenshot everything. Check your credit card statements monthly. Their payment page and emails do not clearly tell you that you're entering a recurring monthly subscription. I learned that the hard way.

Absolute scammers. Paid £39 to get access to their instructors. Booked in a lesson. No show from instructor. Asked for my refund, they refused to give it as apparently i didnt schedule anything. After opening a case with my bank against superprof showing evidence i booked. My bank returned my money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. LIARS as well as THIEVES.

Its a scam. If you pay once they will take your money monthly. And the "teachers" dont reply to messages.

Superprof had four "vetted" in-person tutors in my area. All 4 turned out to be fake profiles of people who don't exist. It appears to connect you overseas scam centers.

On additional research I found that some of the Superprof green checkmark vetted profile pics are used a dozen times with different names on Superprof. All listed in different locations / countries.

Clearly they are willing to lie about vetting and provide your personal information to scam centers in order to get you to sign up for their service which requires a subscription in order to attempt to contact anyone.

Update: their "Help" chat is broken you cannot enter information (tested in multiple browsers) and their email address that they encourage all low star reviews to email just replies with generic form letters (AI?).

Their score on here is artificially high as there are multiple examples of the same person posting regular 5 star reviews at intervals.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I booked 3 sessions through this app. The first one it said was free, but I was charged immediately after booking. After we did the session, the tutor mentioned payment, which I responded by saying I paid on the app through PayPal although the first class is supposed to be free. However, I paid her in cash and decided to try another tutor next time as she was pretty rude. The next time I booked, it also said first class free and I was charged immediately after booking. The tutor cancelled, asked me to reschedule and provided her availability. I rescheduled in the app and was charged again immediately. The tutor canceled again later that day. It’s impossible to get a refund from these people unless you file a chargeback with your bank. I’m out $150 and had to find my daughter a tutor somewhere else. This business is a complete scam and very misleading. Not even the tutors know what’s going on. If you use them, expect to be charged more than the app says and expect to be cancelled on or told by the tutor the payment wasn’t received. Screw the people that run this app and their horribly managed social media pages!

Very deceptive company. Only showed me the lesson cost next to the tutor as $49 . No where it was mentioned that is only the subsrciption cost and top of that you have to pay anywhere from $60-90 for the tutor one hour as separate fee.

Very effective interface for scheduling and holding meetings with a good payment system!
