While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

This company has a .com.au website but is UK based.

This company have a .com.au website, where prices are in AU$, but beware - they are based in the UK. Looking on trustpilot, it turns out they have websites apparently in a number of countries, but don't be deceived. I live in the UK & ordered an item to be delivered to my son in Australia, I put in his address for delivery, then ticked a box to say my payment address was different, and then inputted that. After paying, a confirmation page came up showing the delivery address to have changed to my payment address in the UK. I immediately emailed the company to tell them something had gone wrong and asking them to deliver to my son. This was in the morning of Dec 2nd. I had an email from the company shortly before midnight on the same day saying my item had been despatched. I finally got a reply to my email on 8th Dec at 13.24. This said that they had no record of the delivery address I had told them to send to, and that "We have therefore sent to the original address provided at the time of checkout". You would think that they had already sent the item, that there was no way they could change that. Yet on the same day - 8th Dec - but nearly 4 hours later - I got an email from Royal Mail saying they had received my parcel from Surfdome!
How I wish I'd checked Surfdome out on Truspilot, I'll never use them again.
The item - to my surprise - actually turned up yesterday; rather than risk further dealings with Surfdome I bit the bullet, re-packaged it and paid the postage to send it to my son. I just hope he likes it!

I got nervous but all was great

I got nervous when I saw some bad reviews here only after ordering from these guys. It’s true they should be more transparent about everything coming from the UK. So when my parcel didn’t get here on the day it was supposed to and I couldn’t track it I contacted them pretty quickly. I got a response to my email the next day - it was held up in customs due to UK lockdown. International tracking worked and it was on the way. It arrived on the Tuesday following the original delivery date - less than a week after. All good. Service was excellent. Don’t worry these guys are obviously legit and committed to make good whatever their earlier failings.

Do not buy from these fraudsters

Do not buy from these fraudsters! Returns and refund process is a total scam. They are a UK company and not based in Oz despite using a local URL. The customer 1800 phone number is totally fake. The strategy for returns is they make you run around in circles and run into dead ends to make you give up. They use misleading words like “easy 2-step returns process” which doesn’t work. Fair Trading complaint lodged.
