"Brand New Item" no so new as its been sitting 4 YEARS for the battery to die.

Purchased "Brand new" Galaxy Buds 2 Pro as a gift. After receiving we discovered Samsung will not provide warranty on them as they are international sale.
SBD only offers 'Dead on arrival' warranty, with no gurantee of battery or a manufacturers warranty. As I discovered, this item is very old stock as they are dated manufactured in 2022.

68 days after purchase one of the earbuds died. I contacted SBD for assistance, I even asked if they had another pair with a Broken R side earbud I could purchase the L side so it is still usable. I was told they are not willing to do anything as the return window has closed. $200+ gone.

They were very polite about their response and answered me right away, so there is that.

Weird/Rude Customer Service Experience

My parcel was scheduled to be delivered today, but when I checked tracking with UPS, it said:

"UPS doesn’t have possession of the package yet. Estimated delivery date will be available as soon as we get the package."

I reached out to Surplus by Design via chat, providing tracking, my order number, and my inquiry.

Under my message, it would say “Track my order,” as if I had sent that command.

They kept replying with:
"To see order status, please provide your order details."

I asked to speak to a human more than once and assumed this was an automated/default response.
Eventually, the person said they were a human.

The interaction was rude, with an attitude.
They made it sound like I was crazy for assuming my delivery was scheduled for today.

I said I could provide a screenshot — they asked to see it. I provided it.

Their tone remained rude. They gave me unrelated information about ETA delivery to a region in another city.

I understand if the issue is on UPS's end, but the way they interacted with me…

I was already nervous about purchasing from this website.

Now I'm just hoping I receive exactly what I ordered in its expected condition.

Their prices were fair. Lower than other sites and the manufacturer and I got a 10% discount for signing up. My review is a reflection of the interaction — not the laptop, which I am still waiting to receive.
