Given a few agencies to choose from, some got in touch some didnt but i supposed they were too busy. All to all a good experience. Saves time if nothing else.

We are an estate agency based in Suffolk. Tothills Surveyors attended a vacant property we are marketing, and we provided them with a key for access. However, they have not returned the key. Despite multiple attempts to contact them by phone and email, we have been unable to reach them or receive any response. We will now have to re-key the property.

Compared the surveyor's online and found this website like many others. A few days later one of the company from the search list 'Tothill Residential Surveying' called to ask for an expected date to survey but I turned down with excuses. After a week passed, he called again and sent the quote through email. After couple of days I instructed by signing the contract on docusign by paying £400. But to my Misfortune, I forgot to do the due diligence of checking the surveyor's Google review due to busy schedule with the house purchase. On 27th August (survey date), he didn't turn up, as well as not reachable on phone (EA also confirmed the same). Worried sick I went to check the Google reviews to only see that this guy is a scammer. A week passed, tried to call/email/text him but no reply, then I proceeded to call this comparison company, who then took the details and told us that they will check but no luck from their side. Although I appreciate Holly from comparison website who cared enough to contact me over phone and tell me that TOM TOTHILL is removed from their website, I am deeply concerned that how can a company include cowboy surveyor's without properly vetting. This is such a disgrace, although we have been scammed of £400, shame on the person who continues scamming people for his livelihood. Surveyor's compared also need to take the accountability for their mistake of allowing scammers into their website!
