Sutton Hill Farm Country Auctions

I have been using Sutton Hill for quite a while now maybe 2 years - both buying and selling- the team are brilliant, so helpful with values and advice. They help me load if able and unload. Cannot fault them at all. Highly recommend. I feel auctions give a true value on items every time.

Bad - Very bad - Sutton Hill Farm Country Auctions

Sutton Hill Farm Country Auctions were advised substantially that lot 99A in their 11th January 2025 sale, a "Napoleonic heavy cavalry and troopers sword Queens Dragoon guards" was fake / fraudulently marked to the QDG (Queens Dragoon Guards). How do I know it is not a Napoleonic sword held by a QDG trooper? Because the QDG were only formed in 1959! Beforehand they were the KDG (Kings Dragoon Guards).

However, Sutton Hill Farm Country Auctions chose not to amend or remove the lot. BUYERS BEWARE.

Reply to their response
You only withdrew it because the buyer contacted me for an opinion and you then had to rescind the sale.
