Big hearted package
Wow, so far the meat we have eaten from our meat box has been tasty, tender and delicious. The one piece that seems daunting is the beef heart. It's humongous and will probably need processing and freezing for later use.

Beautiful quality, locally sourced meat at reasonable prices. Admittedly you have to pay a little bit more for quality but it is worth it! We have had nothing that wasn’t delicious, I recommend the steak burgers they are magnificent and you can’t eat more than one!

I had a mixed experience with Swaledale…
I had a mixed experience with Swaledale Butchers. The meat quality is good, but delivery service needs improvement. Once, my order was left outside without notification, risking spoilage. On another occasion, everything arrived well-packaged and still frozen. Overall, it's hit or miss. More consistent service would make me consider ordering again.

We work with DPD as our courier partner because they offer one of the most reliable and transparent services available. Customers receive:
Email and text notifications
Real-time tracking via the DPD app
A one-hour delivery window, sent on the morning of delivery
DPD also provides us with proof that these notifications were sent, allowing us to track and confirm communication in the event of any issues.
As our products are perishable, only one delivery attempt is made, and DPD is contractually required to deliver the parcel on the scheduled day. Every box is marked with a yellow sticker that reads: “Perishable goods – must be delivered today – leave in a safe place.”
This is part of the reality of ecommerce logistics, particularly with fresh food.
