Swann camera systems have worked out great for us so far. My only complaint is that certain accessories have been frequently out of stock.

I have had the NVR-8EX with four cameras for a couple of weeks. Connecting the cameras to the integrated PoE switch on the NVR appears to work quite well however I'm connecting the cameras over my LAN. The first two cameras work but the others refuse to acquire a DHCP address from my router. I have opened a case with Swann support and the support person seems to be having trouble understanding the issue. I have asked several times how to do a factory reset on the camera but they ignore the question. They have also asked me to navigate to menu items which do not exist on my system.
I have also connected a TP-Link camera over the LAN using ONVIF protocol and it appears in the live view as expected but records continuously after detecting movement. Their support has told me they can't help with this issue. Their system supposedly supports third party cameras with ONVIF and RTSP but apparently not my particular TP-Link camera.
I have installed the Swann Security app for my Mac. It simply doesn't work. Cannot add the NVR and it doesn't find cameras. Setup Wizard doesn't work. Manual add doesn't work.

Swann refuses to uphold their warranty. Over 3 weeks now dealing with their "support" team. Repeatedly sending them screenshots & clips with no sound being the microphone does not work. For 2 week EVERY DAY they kept emailing to repeatedly check settings over and over again. REPEATEDLY FAILS TO WORK. Then they finally say they are replacing but more nonesense. Tristan keeps claiming it is "in process and"working with our warehouse team". YET their web page shows EVO DOORBELL IN STOCK.

I suggested as I mentioned to your Noonlight company monitoring service that Swann Security customer's ought to include contact options made available for Swann customers to contact Swann Security by telephone to speak to a live customer service representative for assistance with its products. The Swann customer service phone number only has an automated interactive voice system response message.

Easy to setup device, very good image quality, used battery for about a week then hard wired power to door camera, updated device ,no problems doing that update, very happy with door camera 😊 & cost.

I have an NVR on my network, can see it on my phone, will their PC App find it on my Network ? NOOO
Their Support pages cannot give a simple answer to a question like a factory re-set for one of their products.... Download the manual AND it is not even in the manual ?
I got suckered in by them for the Second time and thought I'd update my current system with 6k Cameras... All made of plastic ! Was it easier this time ? NOOO
They are just relying on their heritage.
Seriously I do not recommend you waste your time and money with these Swann.... Go for the Chinese products.... Swann gear is made in China anyway lol

Terrible experience with customer service and got shipped the wrong part. Still haven't heard from anybody and deserve a refund.
Edit- still haven't heard anything from the company and it's been several months. Made this bogus post and still haven't done anything about not sending me the right parts. Don't buy this product if you want any help from customer support. Absolutely terrible experience

I have utilised Swann CCTV cameras for almost a decade and unfortunately my experience has not been great.
My original system failed within two years and an engineer later explained that the previous Costco‑supplied installation service (TSG) ran cables through the guttering where water could run directly over them.
What surprised me most is that the Ethernet cables included with the NEW Swann system are not even waterproof, despite being sold for outdoor use.
I was also informed I needed junction boxes, something never mentioned at purchase but apparently essential. For the price of Swann products, I expected better quality and clearer guidance.
Buyers should know that extra waterproofing equipment is likely needed if you want the system to last and in my experience the lack of this has led to the system failing far sooner than reasonable, meaning customers may find themselves replacing their CCTV systems every few years.

Dreadful customer service. We installed Swann security cameras based on not having to pay a monthly fee once installed. The cameras are OK but not great and then when our home WiFi changed, our accounts logged out and even with the same details we haven’t been able to log back in. Am sure resolvable so tried calling Swann for advice. Not able to get through to technical support after trying on various days over a month. So emailed and got a series of nonsensical responses back from an outsourced team. Have continued trying to call technical support and each time the line is closed or unavailable despite it being within their open hours. Would steer clear

Terrible delivery times - dispatch took at least 3 working days.
The delivery company told me 1 day, then changed their minds once I'd made plans.
I don't know how much connectivity I should expect from a 3rd party camera, but what I got was less than I expected. All in all, I consider this set up to be inferior to the analogue system I swapped for this.

I was experiencing issues with Swann EVO 2K Pan and Tilt Indoor WiFi Cameras(2) where I was no longer able to manoeuvre either cameras’ view on the app after a software update. The other issue was one camera had stopped tracking altogether.
Got in touch with Swanns technical team, where they were able to resolve both issues within their specified timeframe. They identified a bug in the software; Swann Security App version 5.12 where if you were to use a tablet to view the app., whilst in the horizontal position, the software would not offer the pan and tilt option. The fix was to swivel the tablet into a vertical position. What an easy fix! As for tracking not working on one of the cameras, once I was able to manoeuvre the view back into its centre position, the camera went back to tracking my movements like an 8week old puppy.
So happy with the Swann team, they were upfront with the bug and more importantly, they got back to me in a timely manner, a quality that is a rarity these days. Good on you Swann and all the folks that work there, keep it up, I remain an advocate of their quality and competitively priced products.

Customer service is very poor.
We have had a faulty camera for over 6 months and keep getting told to do the same things but the actual camera is faulty. No amount of software rebooting will fix it.
Very disappointed and will be replacing the whole system as it has been awful trying to get a warranty claim or replacement.

I purchased a DVR8-5680 on May 19. I cannot get this device to go online and connect to the app. I contacted Tech support and got an AI assistant that pointed me to several articles that were not helpful. I asked to talk to a person and was promised a callback in seven days. I have already devoted many hours to try to get this to work with no results. Swann has a nice product but is lacking in Technical Support. As of this writing I am still waiting for my callback.
