Free winter checkup
I had a checkup of the bike. The assistant was friendly and looked knowledgeable.

One big disappointment
I have been a Swapfiets subscriber for 4 months now and my experience has been terrible.
- The start of the subscription was easy with picking up the bike
- The bike is of mediocre quality with often defects in the gears
- I have had a few defects and tried to book appointments, Swapfiets has canceled 8 times, often 1 hour before the appointment (!).
- As a result I have paid every month more than 23 euro but have received zero service but only annoyance
- would highly recommend to buy a bike (new or used) as this will save you money and a lot of head pain

Inkasso
Horrible customer service - my card was on file for 20 months and bounced 1x due to my bank renewing the expiry date of my card (typical every few years). The initial bills and subsequent bills were paid again.
After few days of delayed payment of the 1 bill they sent this one to inkasso with significant additional fees. Customer service mentioned that they sold the bill to the inkasso and I am now in their hands, with nothing Swapfiets can do anymore.
Completely unacceptable to treat loyal customers this way.

Hi Cedric, I understand that this must be frustrating. When a payment fails (eg. due to an expired card) we send the customer several payment reminders to their email and phone number. After around 5 weeks it is forwarded to the debt collection agency and has to be paid via them. It is the customer's responsibility to update their payment details in time or shortly after the payment has failed. If you think that your payment has been forwarded to the debt collection agency within a few days, please send me an email (info@swapfiets.de) and I will have a look at the dates. Best, Emi
