Same story although we were ucky as ours worked for 2 weeks. Board still fine, but charger has fallen apart. Upon inspection the charger isn't CE certified and has different code to that shown on the test certificate on the website.

Very dodgy and have serious reservations regarding the safety of any of it. Be careful folks.

I wish I had seen the reviews earlier. Ordered a hoverbaord for my son, it looked ok when it arrived took it out of the box and it throws him off it when eve he stands on. We went to charge the thing and the charger points do not even match! One is a three pin and one is a two. Instantly I realised that this was not just a faulty board and instead there was something more wrong. I have raised a dispute hoping PayPal can help me, one sad boy on his 8th Birthday. I have emailed the company but something tells me I’m not going to hear back! I will get to the bottom of this! Con makes me sick

We bought 2 boards for my 8 and 10 year old sons for Xmas. One losses charge within minutes and only one foot pad works. The other has cut out mid ride catapulting my son off the board. Extremely dangerous. I have tried to contact them by phone and email on 7 occasions and received exactly zero response. Complete con. Feel such an fool for being so sucked in. It was too good to be true!!

No contact , no customer service , no calls answered , very expensive disappointment for my childs xmas. They have fantastic FAKE reviews on their website. cowboys , been holding on phone for over 30 min . DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THIS COMPANY

Dreadful company...board broke immediately. Zero customer service - some 30 mins holding on phone one day no answer...Sent emails their email server crashed. Sent web forms no response. Do not buy from them is my advice. For those of you who have and have problems do the following:

1. Report to Paypal - raise through dispute console.
2. Report to your credit card company.
3. Report this trader to Merton Trading standards.
4. Report to the EU Online Dispute Centre. Search Online Dispute Resolution / European Commission

This company clear has enough money to make sure they are the top of the search engines but zero investment in customer service.

Same experience as others. Our board is ok it’s the Kart that’s the issue. As some else has said, the tiny mounts are just tacked on and the bolt doesn’t go through both sides. It’s already bending and my daughter is about 1/4 the max weight allowed. Also emailed and called but getting nothing back. PayPal resolution time!

Yeah am the same, we ordered a black 1 for my son for his Christmas and they sent a pink 1. I phoned them up and they said it would get picked up December 22 I sat in all day no one appeared l. It got picked up on Tuesday 8th January. The new 1 came on Friday and it’s PINK!!!! Absolutely disgusting company

I bought a hoverboard for my grandson this Christmas. It's charging point was faulty. The company has a permanent answer machine saying its lines are busy. They do not reply to emails. Time to go to the trading standards office.

We purchased the Kart Bundle as a Xmas present for our son.
Within 2 minutes of use the seat mountings snapped away, and the board went flat within 5 mins of use.
Now it won’t take a charger full stop, have sent endless emails trying to contact them, waited ages on the phone with no answer.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Company number 11590726 ** bought a hoverboard. Was sent the wrong colour. Emailed . No response. Gave my daughter her Christmas present and its totally useless . charge it for 2 hours. Runs out of battery within 5 mins. Have emailed numerous times. No reply back. Need to take this further.... whats my best option??

Item never came. Shocked to see the reviews. Got an email from Amazon Pay saying I received a refund? Haven't seen a penny in my account though. Is this another scam???

If i could give minus stars i would......this website "swegway-hoverboards.co.uk" IS A SCAM!!!! they advertise "genuine samsung battery". Nonsense. It is a cheap Chinese rip off with unlicensed battery not fit for UK use. Item came in a scabby unsealed box, the unit had clearly been used. Scuffed and dirty. Only an on and off button, no setting or config button which should be there. All charging ports are uncovered and exposed to elements. When i lifted it out the box, 2 screws fell out of the bottom of the unit. These screws cannot be placed back in as the bedding of the unit has been worn away. Instruction manual is in broken poor English.....i haven't even opened the kart package I'm so disgusted. And as everyone else has said, complete SILENCE from the company "techtoys traders". Luckily my bank were aware of the company and refunded me my costs. IF A DEAL IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.....IT ALWAYS IS.

This is a scam company selling fake goods bought hoverboard and kart instructions were in broken English cut out after 5 mins sent it back but company have not responded I was lucky as paid through PayPal they have refunded me my money back

Intermittent cutting out after a few minutes when the hover board has been fully charged overnight.

absolute sheister. Items arrived and were utter rubbish, didnt even work. Contact paypal (if you used them) they sorted it within an hour and will issue a refund upon sending the $h*te back.

Unfortunately like many others I was scammed by this website ruining my daughters (and ours) Christmas. Upon opening the Swegway, we put it on charge for 2 hours (as per dodgy translated instruction manual) - segway didn't work. Just dies after seconds of use.

I've raised a dispute with paypal and will look into taking legal action if my case is not resolved.

I purchased a hoverboard for Xmas and it didn't work, a very upset 11 year old on christmas day and nothing I could do about it, I have emailed the company several times and no response. I am not having this so I have contacted bbc watchdog I also will be in touch with trading standards techtoy traders shouldn't be able to do this to people it's wrong and they have to be stopped.

I bought a hoverboard and cart bundle from swegway-hoverboards uk. Paid with PayPal. It was for my daughter for Xmas. It worked for 2 days and is now completely dead. Won't charge or turn on at all. I have tried contacting them by email and phone but no response. Prob wasted more money trying to phone them. Please anyone stay away from the company. They are despicable doing that to people at Xmas.
