Very straight forward ordering service Darren was very knowledgeable gave him the measurements and he worked out everything I needed. A few slabs were damaged on delivery thy were replaced and delivered on the same day. Excellent service all round. Doug

I rang Sydenhams in Keynsham about 11 a.m. before setting out as i needed wood cut. I asked if it would be ok to come at 3 p.m. The Croatian lady said they could not promise anything at that time because there might be 20 cuts ahead of me. I said i would come earlier then, which she said would be better. I get there soon after 12 and Colin N. said they would be "unable to cut anything today"! I had driven some 15 miles especially and instead ended up having to leave with an offcut which is obviously not exact. He sent the lady out to talk to me but she refused to accept what she'd said on the phone and just kept repeating that nothing could be promised. Why would i have wasted a journey in Friday traffic only to be offered an offcut?! Moral of story: ring Colin for store accuracy. Or, go somewhere else.

My first visit to Sydnhams boscombe Gloucester Rd. Its great to feel like a valued customer, I went into discuss a purchase of some trex decking. From the moment I went in Tony and Darren were helpfull,professional, and knowledgeable. It makes a change to find helpful staff these days. Thanks for great service.

Recently visited Sydenhams builders merchants on the A32 near Fareham Hampshire and was greeted by Dave in customer reception. We explained our requirements and Dave talked us through various options before we arrived at the most suitable choice. Despite the fact that on this particular day all of the cross-cutters were unavailable due to a health and safety inspection - Dave managed to help us to cut our timber order so that it would fit in our vehicle. Big shout out to Dave for outstanding customer service and for going above and beyond the call of duty …

Been using Sydenhams at Warminster for the last 20 years, the place is filled with helpful and friendly faces, from the lads in the yard,to The shop/office and the delivery drivers, the depot is always so well stocked, and delivery's are always swift, usually within a day or 2 of ordering.. highly recommend this branch..

Sydenhams are my local 'go to' for all my building needs. Likely I have a couple of branches in my area but I have to specifically mention Kev at the Warminster branch who is always willing to help and understand the current challenge which he can provide solutions for. Great selection good prices, keep it up!

Claimed 4 days after sending them an e mail for an enquiry that their e mail was faulty and was asking 4 days later what my e mail had requested - NOT GOOD ENOUGH - and they are CLOSED on a SATURDAY - are they NUTS ? I only have weekends available yet they are closed. Went elsewhere and got the correct order within 24 hours from Wicks.

Sydenhams Glastonbury. I have been dealing with Sydenhams for years. I speak on a very regular basis with Jed and Nathan, never had an issue, if I had a problem to deal with, I have always found them more than helpful and together, we always resolve a solution. So, in finishing, give them a call. 5*!

Just wanted to express how happy I am with Sydenhams Timber, particularly the Glastonbury branch. I have a small shed business and have used Syd for many many years! The sales team and customer service are always superb. prices are in my opinion unbeatable for the quality of the timber supplied. Deliveries are always on time and the drivers take good care when unloading. Well done Syd, here’s to many more years working together.

Have used the guys and gals at Newport depot a few times and have to say I don't bother shopping elsewhere. Always honest; admitting they aren't always the cheapest BUT the service I get is worth every penny.

I've tried a few times to get prices from a couple of branches but it's painful so I've found another company to supply me. I get quotes back not complete, wrong items or overpriced. I called Southampton branch last week and but the background noise of people shouting , laughing and telling jokes was so bad I couldn't hear the person on the phone so I hung up. Not good. Sorry to be this honest but I think as a company you should know.

Their Bath premises is on a residential road with difficult access - a single lane track. They have 4 parking spaces, this time taken up with their fork-lift trucks so no where to park. I parked in front of a fork lift and was promptly told 'you can't park there mate'. Where can I park? 'Dunno mate' I think they expect customers to park in the road and lug 6 bags of gravel over 200 yards. I went elsewhere...

Sydenhams, Tidworth Branch.
Following previous good experience, this branch did everything possible to not deliver to my fairly local address. Each time I tried to reason with both the chap in the office and the Driver, back came another reason why they couldn’t make the delivery. They didn’t give a damn. Good job I can make a different choice next time!

DIfferent contractor with different skills guiding me this time but same ace service, competitive price from and appropriate recommendations from Syds.

FYI Desmond is really disappointed that from 15 x 2.8m timbers we had 11 inches of wastage! I think he was aiming for less!!!
Thank you again for your help. One day my garden will be finished.

At the Gillingham branch we were served by Jimmy who was really helpful, friendly and had good advice.
