Symbiotic Active Sitting Chair Reviews 

I have a full-time desk job, and for a long time, I've been looking for an ergonomic office chair that would help me reduce chronic pain in the lower back. It took me a few days to get used to the movable seat and back, and now after two months, I am amazed by this chair. The back pain is now much reduced, while my posture has improved as the abdominal and back muscles are always active during sitting.

I work as an architect, usually sitting for a minimum of eight hours per day. That's why a good ergonomic chair is essential for my work. Despite the high-end chair models I've been using, I still regularly suffered back-aches after a long day of sitting. Since I started using Symbiotic, which was recommended to me by my back therapist, this has improved a lot as it fundamentally changed the way I sit. I am not sitting passively any more as my muscles are more activated, and my spine is less burdened. Also, I like how easily I can shift between different sitting positions. The chair itself is well designed and looks very durable. Highly recommended for anyone sitting long hours!

I started wfh due to the Covid outbreak and needed a good posture chair for my home office. I am happy with my new desk chair, it engages my core and as a result I suffer less back pain. Quality is also good, quite solid..

Great company amazingly comfy chair with such good posture support. The chair has eliminate all my back ache at work and I’m sat in the chair for 6-8 hours a day and feel fresh every time I leave work rather than achy like my old chair used to make me. Working in an architecture office in Switzerland, my colleagues and I spent much of our time sitting. For a long time we searched for a chair that could improve our posture, we tested several models called "ergonomic", but most of them were stiff and not effective. That's when we found Symbiotic! Even at a distance, the whole process was very easy: first we were able to test a chair, and once we decided to get them, we received everything carefully packed and it was very easy to assemble on our own. Now that we all have a chair at the office, I can say that it was exactly what we were looking for: a chair adjustable to each person, combining comfort with elegance.

I am an osteopath and treat many back pains caused by poor posture from desk jobs. Good posture is very important and this chair encouragea this. The chair base and back are flexible and move with your body with springs so it can support it and relieves pressure on the Back. The springs are fully adjustable so it can be tailored to your specific needs and also help stimulate your core muscles to engage. Strong core muscles are important for a healthy back. The quality of the material is also brilliant and sturdy, this chair is designed to last a long time.

A friend of mine recommended this chair knowing the amount of time I spend sitting in my office. Symbiotic definitely improves the way I sit and contributes to my fitness programme. I would never go back to a standard fixed seat office chair.

I've been looking for a proper chair for a long time and honestly I was sceptical about the whole active sitting thing but I couldn't be happier really.

My favorite thing about it is as soon as I sit my shoulders and back straighten immediately (the same feeling I have after an hour of yoga class),
it has always been just the oposite.
Maybe it's a placebo but I even feel my lower back muscles got firmer because of better posture that siting on this chair requires (I've been using it for three weeks now).

It took me couple of days to get used to it though as this sitting paradigm is totally new to me and different to other desk chairs I am used to, but the patience definitely payed off.

I usually never write reviews but I really appreciate such a good (and beautiful!) product so I felt I need to give my appreciation :)

Definitely better than two previous office chairs I had.

I have been working from home due COVID-19 and I was looking to acquire an office chair for myself at home. It was very easy decision to go with symbiotic, which was the same as what I have at work in the office. The moving seat and the back feels just moulding into my body and allows me to sit up very comfortably so I don’t lounge as much.

This is an office chair for active sitting. the seat moves along with your back, forces you to sit upright (no slouching possible) while involving your core muscles. Strong lumbar support. I use it as a main chair for work at my PC most of the day and no pain in back. One of the very few chairs that could be adjusted even for very tall people (of course, correct sitting requires the corresponding height of your desk). Very easy to assemble, was delivered very carefully packed and on time. Definitely recommended.

Years of office work have taken its toll on my back and I ve been struggling with lower back pain for a long time. Since I started using this chair, my sitting posture has improved, and the back pain is mostly gone.

Amazing active chair, really keeps your posture in check, recommended for long hours in the office.

I was a long-time user of a similar chair with a seat suspended on a spring and this is an upgrade for me. It has more comfortable padding, better wheels, doesn't rattle when moved -- overall a more solid product.

As for the sitting experience, the four-spring design means that the seat is very flexible at small-to-moderate angles, but becomes stiffer after that. It gives you the flexibility needed for comfort but not at the expense of overall stability. The chair is just less fussy.

I also appreciate the ability to make the spring resistance asymmetrical left vs. right, it helps those (like me) with asymmetrical spines where the optimal sitting position is at a somewhat skewed angle.
