Just a scam!
Just a scam!! I ordered a month ago and I haven’t received my package.
Client service is simply inexistant, they never reply.
Avoid to lose your money on their website and other something else
Their service is nothing short of…
Their service is nothing short of perfect. Exactly what I was looking for and with their updated interface they're going to stay on top for a LONG time.
Sync Poor Customer Support
I have been using Sync.com for several years now to back up my personal files to the cloud. However I have repeatedly found their customer technical support to be unbelievably slow and very very frustrating.
Firstly, there is no helpline number to call unless you subscribe to their premium product. Secondly when you raise a technical query you have to wait days for a response.
I've recently encountered a problem when trying to install the CloudFiles version of Sync. After eight days the matter is still not resolved. In fact the last response from the 'help team' took five days to arrive!!
Potential Sync customers be warned.
Do not use sync iptv or the other site…
Do not use sync iptv or the other site they use
Trex iptv I paid for a year worked 1 month now they just ghost me!
Do not ever use either of these companies they are a complete scam!
I wasn't able to upload more than 2 Gb…
I wasn't able to upload more than 2 Gb at a time so I had to seperate everything to make them small enough. Then I found out you have to download them to see them again instead of being able to view where they are and that was not time efficient. I decided I did not need the app after all and tried to cancel and get a refund (prorated or whatever) but I missed the deadline by a week. So I'm stuck with paying $199 for nothing. Buyer beware.
My Experience With Sync Has Been & Is Fantastic
I found this page while trying to find a quick way to move files from my (about to be defunct) iCloud account to my Sync account and I was surprised to see some negative reviews here. I moved to Sync from Dropbox about four years (?) ago and it's been great. I use it for back-up/storage but also to send people links to download recordings of Zoom sessions and for some shared folders - eg: I dump receipts into one for my book keeper. The one time there was an issue, it was to do with an update that had some weird clash with Mac. Even though it was annoying, the support person stuck with it diligently until solved and seemed to know their product/tech - unlike so many support staff these days. I had major data loss concerns with iCloud and bizarre privacy + support issues with Dropbox so for me, Sync is a delight. I'm also really into the simplicity - yes, thumbnails would be nice most apps are over built with compulsory features you probably don't need and pointless A.I. so something that errs on the side of simplicity is heaven. FYI I very rarely write nice reviews for things.
High-volume spam machine
Years ago, I tried Sync.com and didn't like it. They didn't make it easy to delete my account (strike two), so I left it open, but have never used it or stored any info with the company. Now, after years of being dormant, I get spam from them nearly every day, despite unsubscribing (strike 3). Sync.com is not a legitimate company, just a spam-bot. Avoid them like the plague.
AVOID SYNC.COM LIKE THE PLAGUE: A Nightmare of Broken Features and Inept Support
Let me be absolutely clear: if you value your data, your time, and your sanity, STAY FAR AWAY FROM SYNC.COM. This is not a case of a few minor glitches; it's a complete disaster of a service, plagued by fundamental flaws, baffling design choices, and a support team that seems utterly incapable of grasping basic concepts.
I began my subscription to Sync.com, lured by their claims of security and reliability. What I got instead was a month-long odyssey of frustration, file loss, and a support team that actively made the situation worse. My experience was an absolute trainwreck, with one problem cascading into another.
The issues started with something as basic as thumbnail previews. In 2024, it's apparently considered cutting-edge to not show previews of unsynced photos. Their supposed solution? Download every single file just to see what's inside. It's a level of incompetence that beggars belief, utterly undermining the entire concept of selective sync. It's like they’ve never used a modern cloud storage service before.
The problems didn't stop there. I was soon battling constant synchronization failures and the dreaded 0x80070185 error, which prevented me from even accessing my critical work files. These errors meant that I was locked out of my own data, jeopardizing my business.
And let's talk about their 'support'. It’s a masterclass in inefficiency. Despite sending them multiple logs daily, they kept asking me for more logs, clearly demonstrating that nobody had bothered to review what I'd sent. They repeatedly asked questions I had already answered, suggesting unrelated fixes, and generally treated me like I was speaking a foreign language. The level of disconnect between the customer’s clearly stated issues and their responses was appalling.
Their final 'solution' for my syncing problems? Downgrade to an ancient version of their app and manually move all my files over again. Seriously? This is the kind of band-aid solution you’d expect from a weekend project, not a professional service you're paying good money for.
After a month of this utter chaos, I decided to cut my losses and migrate back to Dropbox (which, by the way, just works flawlessly without any of these issues). The fact that I literally had to fight to even extract my own data from their broken system is just outrageous.
Despite losing important files and the enormous stress of dealing with their incompetent service, they initially balked at giving me a full refund. Only after significant back-and-forth and persistent demands did I finally get my money back.
Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO NEAR SYNC.COM. They are a completely unreliable, unprofessional, and frankly, dangerous choice for cloud storage. Their service is fundamentally broken, their support is inept, and your data is not safe with them. Choose a provider that actually values your time and your data - choose virtually anyone else other than Sync.com. You have been warned. This company is nothing more than a waste of time and money. They should be ashamed of the product they are peddling.
Scary and dangerous data loss
Sync is reasonably cheap, and has decent apps for PC and Android. However, it has some MASSIVE problems.
My experience is that it would sometime revert to earlier versions of files, and sometimes files woudl go missing altogether.
there have bene several software updates from Sync.com to try to fix this kind of problem, but after losing a considerable amount of data for the second time, I have lost all faith in it and deleted it from my machines.
Their support is slow, taking 2-3 days to do a roll-back (which failed, by the way),
AVOID if you value your data.
Great cloud sync platform
Easy to use and I have my files everywhere with me.
1 year sub lasted 3 months
I paid for 1 year and it worked for about 3 months and stopped allowing me to login. Customer service is terrible. I have spent 3 days contacting them through the website whatsapp and telegram. I was told a representative would be with me shortly 40 hours ago on telegra. I feel ripped off.
It was good for couple of weeks and…
It was good for couple of weeks and after that problems after problems. Server changed twice, constant disconnection and help support not responding for at least 24 hrs.
Won’t save files to Sync via iOS
About 15% of the time, Sync will not accommodate saving files to Sync via iOS. This has occurred over several years and Sync tech support is incapable of explaining why. When this occurs, you have to save the file to your desktop, and upload it to Sync through the desktop. Highly inefficient if you are away from your laptop - you have to remind yourself to save it when you are at your laptop. This option is inefficient.
Canadian Sync.com is splendid for cloud storage & anywhere-access
Sync.com is well worth a try for cloud storage & anywhere-access of files you never want to lose. I've had a good experience with the free 5GB storage account from this Canadian company & am considering the fine 1TB deal for 3 users @ $6 each. @Sync
After 10 years Sync.com is still the best
After over 10 years of using Sync.com, I can say it is the best cloud store service that I use - for personal and for charity work. The best features include the security, file history/recovery, sync or vault options, purge feature and support. The FAQs are very useful and for other queries the Support team are very quick to answer.
Sync.com - the go to for cloud storage
Sync.com has been my go to solution for cloud storage for about 8 years now. It does everything I need simply, securely and without fuss. It integrates seamlessly with my Windows and MacOS file systems and provides a comprehensive mobile app. Basically, wherever I want access to my files I have it. Even better, they give a generous 5GB for free with the opportunity to increase that by completing challenges.
Highly recommend this bot free cloud server
I have been with sync.com for over six years now and I have never had any issues. I value the fact that there is user-end encryption which means bots are not mining my files for data. Net privacy is my number one concern so I was delighted all those years ago to find a cloud server service that did not trawl my private data. The service is easy to use and, importantly, their customer service is excellent. I have highly recommended sync.com to all my friends, and I have no problem recommending their service to strangers.
It stopped
It stopped. I can't find their App anymore. The site says permanently closed..in Toronto, at least. Does anyone knows?
I have used Sync.com for a couple years…
I have used Sync.com for a couple years now.
I have not had a single issue with it. It works quietly and seamlessly, and does exactly what it is supposed to (syncing documents from my computer to the cloud for backup).
only use sync if you have all your data saved elsewhere
I uploaded all of my work integral to my business to SYNC. I thought it was the perfect save as my computer was getting completely glitchy and insisted on upgrading to windows 11. I got all of my data onto SYNC and I thought it would be the perfect solution for my business. Within days of uploading file folder content began disappearing. Repeated pleas to the company have not helped in any way. Demanded at least full refund and still no response over 48 hours later. DO NOT USE this company unless you want to risk losing everything.
