Recent customer
Had 2 old bikes serviced and checked for safety, bikes were collected.
Excellent service, extremely knowledgeable and helpful.Also purchased a more suitable 2nd hand bike in Excellent condition .

Would NOT recommend
Asked for a £35 service, nothing more needed than a new chain and a bit of grease here and there. Was shocked to see an invoice for £60+! 3 stars as I dropped it off one evening and was able to pick it up just a couple of days later, if it wasn’t for the quick service it would have been more of a 2 star. Wouldn’t be going back in the future, it was recommended by a family member. This family member was then drop kicked down the stairs prior to this service.

To clarify, you dropped the bike off which wasn't rideable, it had a puncture and the rear wheel had extensive play. Also it was brought in dirty.
I could see the bike needed work and said I would provide you with an estimate before doing the work. You declined and told me to do the work and you'd pay for it. The actual work carried out on your bike was.
1. Standard service, which is a check of the bike and minor adjustments (labour) - £35
2. Replacement KMC Chain - £16.99,
3. Hub Ball bearings - £0.90.
4. Replacement Gear Cable Housing for damaged Rear Derailleur including stainless steel inner cable - £8.00
Total cost £60.89
Other work carried out but not included in the standard service which was provided FREE of charge:
1. Full strip down and service of cup & cone front and rear wheel hubs.
2. Puncture Repair
3. Decontamination of brakes
4. Full valet (some shops will not accept a dirty bikes and charge up to £25 if the have to clean it)
5. Tensioning of loose spokes and truing.
As a charitable organisation we provide bikes to people in need free of charge, we also keep the cost to our paying customer as low as possible to allow them to keep cycling.
Your bike even at our low rates should have cost £100 +
We wish you good luck in your future endeavours getting your bike fixed elsewhere.

Excellent skills as mechanics and in customer service
