Just collected a BMW iX1 XDrive for BMW Newport Synter supported by Martin and Alun from BMW Sales. The whole experience was straightforward and both Martin and Alun were extremely helpful from initial contact, explaining the business lease aspects and the vehicle functions. I highly recommend BMW Newport if you're considering sourcing a BMW vehicle.

I have just brought a f pace jag from Synter in Cardiff. Summer and Melvyn was brilliant from start to finish. I would certainly recommend them. A big thankyou to them, I love my new car.
'Acceptable repair' really? Very disappointing standards
Well from start to finish the experience was not great. Nice people yes, however, not the most organised and communication is painful to say the least. Anyway, the main issue I have from my experience is that as part of the 'preperation' stage they claim to address any cosmetic damage that can be seen from 3m away (most other industries are 1m) however, my vehicle at the point of initial inspection was dirty so identifying marks was not necessarily easy. What was obvious though was a 1p size dent/mark to the passenger rear door. This was highlighted to the team and we were assured it would be rectified and invisible. Far from it! Rather than repair the area and blend across the panel the decided to spray the complete door. This then highlighted that the colour they had used was wrong (too yellow), it's a white BMW 1 series. This panel then stood out like a saw thumb between the front door and rear quarter panel. It honestly looks dreadful and wish I could upload pictures here. I have tried to raise this with the dealership multiple times however they consider it to be acceptable and are not willing to rectify the work. All they are willing to do is allow me to pay (at cost, £360) to put right their poor work which now involves blending across 3 panels!
I'm outraged that a dealership of this size and supposed standard seems to think this is acceptable. The car has been taken to two independent body shops who have confirmed it's a poor repair (wrong colour, badly masked up, over spray on other panel).
The dealer have offered me a full refund however I have already invested some money into the car (tyres etc) because they only fitted one when both were just within the 3mm 'acceptable' level however on inspection I found 1 had a nail in it which was picked up on their service but not replaced! Shocking really. They would have sent me off with that and had I driven out the showroom not had a leg to stand on! Anyway, aside from the tyre and a few other bits I have spent on I won't see the money back should I return and I actually like the car. All I wanted was them to rectify the shoddy work they did. Don't really think that's unreasonable.
* In the interest of fairness I will amend this review if my experience changes moving forwards*
Synter - zero customer after sales care
I bought from Synter, after care shite!
I purchased a Land Rover Discovery.
Got the usual 90 dat warranty, surprise issue started, Ashton dealership told me to contact insurance, the one they as k you to pay for.
Insurance said, no.. they said this was a typical tactic..
Dealership changed hands, and would not honour purchase.
To and from emails, Dealership agree to do repairs, failed on 1st attempt, 'ordered' new part... oops, no forgot to actually order it for 4 weeks, only mr chasing found that out!
Another 4 weeks later, complaining to Syrner HQ (Penman Way, Leicester) - my company have offices on the same estate and I am due for a meeting on 15th Jan, I will be knocking on door!
I want my car fixed, properly ( after first attempt. I now have a coolant leak... coincidence?
Or take the car back and give a full refund.
Sorry to post like this, but these companies review to social media better than their own complaints

Polite and Courteous staff at the Northampton Synter Jaguar service department but on balance completely unhelpful in resolving some minor issues with my vehicle, unfortunately unable to recommend this service department
Northampton Synter
Had an amazing experience today, and Euan Delaney really made it so good, he was so accommodating and friendly. I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me the car but rather helping me buy the car. He made me feel so comfortable in my decision and I took my car home the same day!

I had the great misfortune to choose Synter Swindon to buy a Mercedes B200. The car presented a problem on the way back home.
We agreed to have the car fixed at a local Merc official Dealer.
They have cleared the error but the same issue came up again after a while, the car was not driven for a period of time as we were abroad as my dad passed.
We agreed for them to look at the issue, after paying 50% of the bill, I collected the car in Swindon days later.
On the way back, same issue again.
They offered to try to have another go at my cost.
Escalated at group level , no answers until out of desperation the receptionist told me that the HQ decided to back up Swindon.
AVOID AT ALL COST
I'm sitting on a 11k Mercedes that won't pass the MOT after less than 6 months of purchase date and they avoid to take any responsibilities.
In the process they tried to pin this over to the Warranty Company that obviously denied the claim.
I'm forced to pass this to a lawyer after 50 emails and countless phone calls.
SHAMELESS.
Poor Service Experience
Having taken my Mini to Synter Sunningdale for a 90 minute wait service at 9.15 I booked in at Reception and waited. I never saw anyone else including my named Service Advisor until I complained and asked for update at 11.00; already over time. The receptionist advised me it would be 11.30 at earliest and it can be up to two hours. Missing the point 11.15 was 2 hours. No apology from him or explanation. My Advisor still did not appear. Eventually at 11.25 she surfaced and tried to tell me my appointment was 9.30 so it was only 2 hours. Although apologetic after I advised her I was not satisfied nothing more was done. For clarity I never had a wash or any extra checks than the oil service. Your online tracker appeared to show that my car didn’t even get started until an hour had passed.

Thank You - Great Service
We recently bought a Mini from Sytner Mini in Stevenage. From start to finish the whole process was effortless for us. Matt Squires handled everything professionally and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He explained everything clearly, dealt with all the paperwork for us and is a credit to the company. Thank you very much - Ellie and Nev Hinchliffe

New car purchase
Used Sytner select in Nottingham to purchase my new car, service from start to finish was A1 and I’m delighted with my vehicle.
Special mention to Knate and Hannah for their fantastic customer service and attention to detail, Knate even came in on his day off to complete the transfer of the car, brilliant all round!
Excellent service
The entire process from booking to collecting afterwards went very smoothly.
I have my bmw in for a service and…
I have my bmw in for a service and recalls. All was done well but my invoicing & receipts show discrepancies on the mileage and make/model.
This is an issue for me and I plan to sell my car soon and having these kind of discrepancies will raise eyebrows with potential buyers.
Avoid This Dealer at All Costs – Outright Lies and Broken Promises
Avoid This Dealer at All Costs – Outright Lies and Broken Promises
Absolutely avoid this dealer. My experience purchasing a Maserati Granturismo from them has been nothing short of a nightmare built on lies. Living four hours away, I had to rely on their assurance, which turned out to be completely untrustworthy.
I was explicitly told the paintwork was perfect, yet there's a large, noticeable chip on the car. Even worse, sales representative Joe agreed the 2-year service would be carried out, but after speaking with their service manager, it's clear they only performed an oil and filter change. The promised full service, which would cost me around £2000 at a main dealer, was simply ignored. To top it all off, the car's service book is missing. This dealer operates with outright dishonesty and zero accountability. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
Superb experience from start to finish
Superb experience from start to finish. We bought a used car but received new car experience. Katie and Nathan at Swindon were friendly, polite and professional.
