Chef Orfeo was fabulous. Having him for a date night dinner was such a luxury - as a Coeliac being able to try so many new Italian dishes with SO MUCH flavour was such a treat. He was communicative, entertaining and LOVED food and cooking. We would absolutely and will be hiring him again. Thank you for such a memorable night & the best Italian I’ve had since being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease ✨

We absolutely LOVED our experience with Two Sisters as our private chefs during our staying in Cabarete. We were a group of 6 friends traveling to DR for the first time and we all agreed that Two Sisters was the ultimate highlight for us and well worth every penny!! The girls were extremely friendly and attentive and the food they cooked us was PHENOMENAL. We booked 3 dinners and 2 brunches with them and every meal just kept getting better. They were also so friendly and left the kitchen absolutely spotless. I cannot recommend their services enough!

We booked Dennis as our private chef for our bachelorette weekend and he was honestly one of the highlights of the entire trip.

From the moment he arrived, everything felt effortless. He was so friendly, professional, and just had the best energy — it immediately put everyone at ease. The food was incredible… beautifully presented, full of flavor, and felt like a full restaurant experience right in our Airbnb.

It made our night feel really special without being over the top or formal. We got to just relax, hang out, and enjoy the moment while he handled everything.

Planning from out of town can be stressful, but Dennis made it so easy. Super accommodating, great communication, and everything ran smoothly.

10/10 would book him again — highly recommend if you’re looking to elevate your trip without the hassle.

Chef Teilmann was absolutely amazing. From his very first dish, he drew my family in completely. When two young kids (ages 5 and 7) go back for seconds of everything—including vegetables—you know the meal was truly exceptional.

Not only was the food outstanding, but Chef Teilmann also took the time to explain each dish and even shared how we could recreate them at home. Beyond his culinary talent, he was a pleasure to be around—down-to-earth, engaging, and genuinely attentive.

At one point, we mentioned that one of our guests was a picky eater, and he went out of his way to personally connect with them and encourage them to try the food. That level of care really stood out.

We would absolutely recommend Teilmann Hansen without hesitation. If I could pack him up and bring him home as our personal chef, I would!

My best friend wanted to hire a private chef for an evening during her hen do in Portugal, and I actually found this company while in the USA through a Google search. From start to finish, the experience exceeded everyone’s expectations.

The chef arrived on time, was polite, greeted everyone, and got straight to work. He even cleaned all the counter spaces before starting. We began with an incredible spread of appetizers that honestly could have been a full meal on their own, followed by a first course, main, and dessert. everything was absolutely delicious.

One of our group members was pregnant, and he was very attentive in accommodating her dietary needs, ensuring she could safely enjoy every course, including cooking her steak appropriately. Throughout the evening, he was observant and made sure we had everything we needed.

I would highly recommend this chef as he provided a fantastic experience that I’d love to do it again!

Chef William De Jesus was truly a pleasure to work with. More than his exceptional professionalism he was careful, thoughtful and very passionate about his craft. Every meal was delicious, meticulous in its detail and came with great lessons about the culture behind the dish as well as the ingredients. He’s top notch!

We hired Chef Alister for a private dining experience during our vacation in St. Thomas and he absolutely exceeded every expectation. The food was incredible — hands down the best oxtail I've ever had, so tender it fell right off the bone. What really stood out was how thoughtful and professional he was: he accommodated all of our allergies without hesitation, was responsive from the very first message, and made the whole experience feel effortless. He was warm, personable, and so sweet with our kids. If you're looking for a personal chef who delivers amazing food and an amazing experience, look no further. We'd book him again in a heartbeat!

Chef Morgan is truly unbelievably talented. From start to finish, the experience could not have been better. The quality of the food was absolutely amazing. Take A Chef made the task of organising a birthday bash easy and our Chef was great. Superb food well matched to our needs and professionalism of the highest standard. Would use again.

Chef Luis Albarran Maizo and his team were amazing! They made an amazing Tex-Mex dinner for us to kick off our friends' joint bachelor and bachelorette weekend! The spicy black bean tacos were a huge hit! And the leftover enchiladas came in handy throughout our weekend. We were also able to add a margarita station to our dinner, and Chef Aaron made some delicious margaritas! They also cleaned everything before they left for the night - we just had to sit back, drink our margaritas, and enjoy the food and each other's company!

We were super excited for our private chef dinner and so disappointed when things went so wrong- two of the dishes served were almost inedible - the shrimp on the salad was frozen. The duck was cold and undercooked. The chef and his partner dropped dishes/ silverware a few times, and made a mess in the kitchen by dripping water over the floor from the wet dishes and stopping over it which left the floor muddy. What was also quite odd is that they did not bring their dishes/utensils, etc and used ours. The chef also smelled of cigarettes which is never pleasant when someone is cooking your food

Firstly response from Take a chef was great here in Wellington NZ. We wanted a Japanese inspired degustation and our Chef, Ane delivered perfectly. Great set up of table service, clean up, ease and food was plenty and phenomenal! Highly recommend!
