Absolutely shoddy company service.

Absolutely shoddy company service.
Made an order, was told it would be an hour. It is now 3 hours, even phoned the restaurant to see if they have it, restaurant explains how it works, and they still haven't ben requested to make it due to a lack of drivers in the area.

This, however, hasn't stopped Takeaway from taking the order, and just constantly renewing the order time, so it is now 3 hours since ordering.

Can I cancel the order? No, because they wish to keep the money.
Can I speak to a customer service representative? No, because everything is an online chatbot now.
Can I have the restaurant cancel an order they haven't been asked to make so they don't lose money?
No, because Takeaway doesn't allow them to do so, because then Takeaway would lose money.

Your company is a glorified middle man service, and has become an absolute joke of a company since it's launch.
I can only hope other customers, like me, follow suit, and stop using the service (I say service, but that implies they actually perform the task offered, which they don't).

I have had so many issues with this company over the years, that enough is enough. No more.

This is by far the worst app I’ve ever…

This is by far the worst app I’ve ever used. On multiple occasions, the driver marked my order as delivered without actually handing over the food. The first time, I requested a refund through the app, and thankfully it worked. However, the second time the same thing happened, my refund request was ignored.

The third time, the driver finally showed up and delivered the food — after two failed attempts. I’ve emailed Takeaway three times, but all I’ve received are generic copy-paste responses telling me to contact the restaurant. This makes no sense, as it was Takeaway who issued the refund the first time, not the restaurant.

I’m extremely frustrated and confused. If I don’t receive a proper response this week, I will report this to the police.

I am removing the application

I am removing the application, I will never use your service again. Many times had to wait more than 2 hours to receive the order. You can’t charge the money and then say that the order will arrive after 2 hours while the estimation time was 45-55 minutes! I would never order if I knew how long would it take.

No cancellation

Ordered, after 50min the update was, order expected to be delivered in 50min.
This was a restaurant that advertises 20-40min delivery.
Tried to cancel, cannot. The app doesn't allow it

Extremely pathetic service

Hello,

I would like to share my horrific experience with Takeaway.com BELGIUM.We were ill and hence, didn’t feel like cooking and going out to pick up the food. Hence, I placed an order#CWJ9DY at 14:13. The estimated delivery time was 20-35 mins. Since, the kids were too hungry, around 15:15, I explored all the ways to get in touch with the customer care team. Apparently, there is no phone number to call. The AI chat is useless and the emails to be@**.com were unanswered. The order tracking in the mobile application/web doesn’t show anything. Since, there was no clarity when my order would be delivered. I called the restaurant and they informed me that the food was ready well on time as the delivery mode was ASAP and takeaway.com drivers haven’t come today.The saddest part is that one can’t cancel the order. I kept waiting and gave up in shock. At 17:22 (More than 3 hours after placing the order), I received a SMS that my order is cancelled. You don’t have an iota of courtesy that you didn’t ever bother to call and explain the situation, despite my emails urging you to do so. I wonder with such a substandard customer service, how are you even operating in the Capital of Europe! It’s solely my mistake that I trusted you and ordered, when I really needed the order on time. For sure, this was my last order via takeaway.com and am deleting your application, without any regret.

If zero stars where a thing

I woud like to give zero stars to a company that give's of the impression that they do not care about their customers. Since zero stars isn't an option I will briefly elaborate on my sentiment.

In the past when there was a problem concerning your order you could easily get an actual human being on the line who would guide and at best find a solution. Those days seem to be long gone. The human got replaced by a chatbot with generic input model and even more generic answers.

Guess I'll be ordering my food elsewhere. Hell maybe I'll even go out more or start cooking myself and have a positive outcome out of a bad situation.

Your order will probably never arrive

I placed an order an hour ago and live on the SAME STREET as the store. There’s no support for customers, and no way to reach them when issues arise, especially while waiting for a missing order. This always happens with their deliveries. Their app is terrible.

Very bad service of Takeway

The initial estimated delivery time of 50 minutes, has after 1 hour shifted to 55 minutes, counting from after that hour.
I want to cancel, but the chatbox keeps telling me that I cannot be helped. And if I want something else, asks the chatbox. What is the added value of Takeaway in all this? There is none. The last time I pay for their (non-) service.

ABYSMAL COSTUMER SERVICE
First the delivery time of my order got delayed 5 times. Then when I finally had a courier it first went to the other side of the city with my order to deliver somebody else's first. My address was way closer to the restaurant. So now my food is cold. I don't think this is something I should pay for. After chatting with customer service they just kept saying it's normal. But I don't think it's normal my food took a route of 20 minutes when it should arrive within 5 minutes after leaving the restaurant. Furthermore finding customer service to begin with is insane. Really. Use Deliveroo or Uber eats when you want to be sure about your food getting delivered or getting helped when there is a problem.

Impossible to cancel your order and get…

Impossible to cancel your order and get a refund. The wait times after you pay are two or more times longer than what is announced before you pay. Avoid this app. Should be possibilities of legal action against this. Inability to cancel due to misleading service information is a breach of customer’s rights.

Total shitshow

Total shitshow. They allow you to purchase food with delivery saying the average delivery time will be 30 minutes. After paying it says 1 hour and 30 minutes. I had waited for almost 2 hours. When I called takeaway they told me to "go somewhere else than". I called again and the guy told me there are no riders until another hour at least. WHY ACCEPT DELIVERIES YOU CAN'T MAKE?!

Total crapshow

Total crapshow. We are in Oostende and there is only 1(!) rider. After one hour of waiting they cancelled!!!!!11!!! Unbelievable! Our children are now going to bed sad and hungry.

Terrible service and they do not resolve issues

My order was 90mins late and the food was spilled all over the bag. Takeway.com did not do anything to resolve the matter and only asked if I eventually received my order. Shocking service for a food delivery app. I have deleted it and unsubscribed.
