Trustpilot logo used in a misleading way

This company appears to be little other than a booking service for genuine companies. They gave me a quote for unblocking a drain and took £54 pound 'deposit'. Within half an hour, a Dynarod van appeared and a pleasant man unblocked the drain run and checked for possible causes with his special camera. I will be charged the outstanding balance by Dynarod. I lost no money but Dynarod would have been better off by £54 if I had contacted them directly. In short, Take the Plunge Ltd charges the 'deposit' to phone another company to do the job.

The website has Trustpilot ***** at the head, suggesting they are rated 5 stars on Trustpilot. There was only one other review, very similar to mine, which gave it one star. I wonder what Trustpilot thinks of their good name being used in this way.

Best avoided

We rang TakeThePlunge because we had a partially blocked drain, and as requested paid a deposit of 54.00.
On the positive side, a contractor (from Dyno-Rod) came that evening. He had a look and said he couldn't help, we needed a plumber, but as he had done nothing he wouldn't charge us.
We rang TakeThePlunge again the next morning and relayed the information, but they said they don't have plumbers, we'd need to look elsewhere. (Strange - their web-site says 'Our engineers are the best in the business' but they don't seem to have any.)
We asked how and when our deposit would be refunded and were told it was non-refundable. There is nothing on their web-site about this, in fact no Terms and Conditions, just another bold statement - 'We don't charge you a call-out fee on top.' It seems to us that a non-refundable deposit for no service is a call-out fee by another name.
By this time we were puzzled that their web-site claims they have 5-star Trustpilot reviews, so we checked and found that Trustpilot has no reviews for them and doesn't appear to know they exist.
Another warning sign we missed, on their web-site there is no email address or postal address, so that nothing is given in writing. I wonder why?
