What a joke. Turns out, if you actually need anything, you have to see a psychiatrist in-person. This is no different than those online minoxidil or glp-1 factories. I'm honestly disgusted. One questi... See more

Dr S. Mathew

Dr. Mathew listens & makes suggestions & med changes as he sees fit. I appreciate his insight & ideas. He’s the best Psychiatrist I’ve had yet!

Highly recommended

Highly recommended. My doctor listened and acknowledged my fear of mental health medications (how much will it change my personality) and walked me through multiple options, including no meds. Happy to say that I'm feeling the best I have in years (took the medication route). Plenty of work left to do, but I see the light now!

At my first appointment there where…

At my first appointment there where technical issues with the sound. I couldn't hear the provider. He and I played around with it, each logging in and out with no resolution. He sent a message in chat that he would send another link to try. I waited 10 minutes then went back to work. Next thing I know I have a bill for $100- late cancelation. I called customer service, explaining what happened. They said they would dismiss the charge and now I'm being threatened with collections. Do not recommend

TALKIATRY = A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!

I only used "Talkiatry" as it was covered by insurance fully many years ago. The virtual appointment was a complete waste of time, took 10 minutes, the doctor did absolutely nothing and there was no feedback or recommendation. Now, 5 years later, "Talkiatry" is trying to collect a co-payment, which I did not have at the time, and starting billing me NOW. I will NEVER pay another dime for this service, as it did absolutely NOTHING! "Talkiatry" caused MORE stress than anything else. If I hear from them one more time, I will file multiple complaints against them.

Avoid if you want to actually reach your doctor

We loved my daughter’s psychiatrist. But she gave her new meds when she was in crisis and then we had to take her to the ER yesterday for suicidal thoughts. Myself, the social workers, the psych department all tried to call and all we got was “sorry, she’s not in, we can leave a message she’ll get in a day or two!” NOT OK to not be able to reach your psychiatrist when you’re in a severe emergency! I emailed them and said all this, thank you but no thank you, the hospital is providing care and please cancel anything for the future.

I’m beyond livid. Maybe not all shrinks give out their cell phone numbers (mine does, and several therapists have and we never abuse it) but you MUST have a way to reach them.

I have been doing therapy with…

I have been doing therapy with talkiatry for a couple of weeks now and I can’t express how much I love it. I love it because they’re so knowledgeable. They don’t judge their pleasant and I can talk with them in the comforts of my own home. Highly recommend them Bernadette my counselor is awesome and I’ve always had a hard time finding a counselor that I connect with and in two appointments I really feel I have a connection with her and so looking forward to so many more conversations and her

Talk excellent

I found an amazing psychiatrist that takes my insurance and fits my time schedule. She is brilliant , very professional and so considerate and caring. I’m so pleased. If you don’t like your therapist choose another.

No way in hell I would use this service…

No way in hell I would use this service again. They told me before I sent in my insurance and before my appointment that they covered me through my insurance. Then magically I wasn't covered AFTER using the service. That is completely predatory behavior and is absolutely disgusting to prey on those seeking mental health advice. This "service" is absolutely abhorrent.

Deceptive billing practices! .

This place is an absolute joke. The Dr was great, but they will drop you and say you didn’t make payments, yet never send a bill. They don’t send bills until you owe like $500 and they send it to collections.

Customer service is horrible! I will miss the Dr, but I will not miss the deceptive practice. Seeing from the reviews, I am not the only person with this issue!

Rates are absolutely ridiculous

Rates are absolutely ridiculous. One session was over $700 and after insurance, I have a bill of $421. If this is the cost to maintain mental health, we are doomed.

Trust the Reviews - Don't Do It!!

I should have paid more attention to the reviews. After being unable to get an estimate for my visit, I decided to cancel. When I cancelled, there was no mention of a cancellation fee, but the day after the cancelled appointment I received a bill for $100. I'm sure there was probably something in the initial appointment information about a cancellation fee, but think a psychiatry practice that treats people with ADHD (who are known to have memory issues) should extend the courtesy of reminding patients about the fee when they ask to cancel. I paid the fee, but I definitely am not interested in trying to sort out my insurance and reschedule at this point. When I tried to find an email or other way to submit my written feedback about this issue, I couldn't find a way and so decided to leave this review instead.

Misleading and awful

My husband had a good experience, so we made my daughter an appointment. I have a master's in learning and behavior disorders and know she had adhd. Their ads are all about getting diagnosed with adhd, so I thought this was a good fit. She just turned 18, so she isn't familiar with different medications yet. She had her appointment and this lady prescribed her PROZAC!! She accepted it, thinking it was something to help adhd. I immediately told her not to take it. I've been on it and it's a NASTY drug. Made me feel suicidal, so I stopped it immediately, which made things worse for weeks. I just felt like death. And she doesn't even have depression, so why try to give her a something for depression???? She wrote the lady back yesterday and said she realized this was an anti depressant and did not want to take something for depression when she's not depressed, especially after looking at some of the side effects. So the lady writes back suggesting a deferent medication- a different anti depressant!! She again tells her she's not depressed. She doesn't have anxiety. Any anxiety she has is caused by her brain being in a million different places and she can't focus enough to get things done. So what does she do? Offers a THIRD anti depressant!!!! Are you kidding me??? Stop trying to shove those nasty ssri drugs down people's throats when they don't need them! They're not something you can just TRY, then stop cold turkey when you find they don't work. It's a whole process of waiting for them to work, realizing they make things worse, then dealing with the awful side effects when you stop taking them. HIGHLY IRRESPONSIBLE for someone who CLAIMS to be educated!

I've had doctors on this platform…

I've had doctors on this platform cancel appointments with me on the same day, sometimes within 30 minutes of my appointment. The staff can't inform me of why these appointments are canceled, and doctor's calendars are booked up weeks in advance. This to me, is very concerning. Especially if you are on medication and have questions that could greatly impact your health. Another disappointing feature of this platform, and customer service is that it takes a very long time to get in contact with someone who can resolve the matter.
