Reviewers often felt overcharged, with some receiving bills far exceeding initial expectations or advertised costs, leading to frustration and financial strain. Some people were dissatisfied with the customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to get clear answers from, particularly regarding billing issues. There were also instances where customers felt the service was unreliable and poorly managed, with issues like dropped calls and lack of assistance when needed. What a joke. Turns out, if you actually need anything, you have to see a psychiatrist in-person. This is no different than those online minoxidil or glp-1 factories. I'm honestly disgusted. One questi... See more

Extremely poor customer support

I am writing not about my individual provider but about Talkiatry Customer Support. They were rude, condescending, and insulting, and had apparently not been trained on the most rudimentary customer service skills. They actually hung up onme during a call in which I was trying to get an answer to a simple question that they could not manage to answer. I do not recommend that you contact them for help with anything.

I made a new appointment for my child 8…

I made a new appointment for my child 8 weeks in advance and the Talkiatry physician canceled about 1 week prior to the appointmnet. When I asked for a timely reschedule- I was told I would have to wait for another 3 weeks. However, if I were to cancel with short notice, I am responsible for the cost of the entire visit. I was told they are sorry for the inconvenience but no help or accommodation was given.

Do not bother

I had signed up for this platform to work with a specific therapist that I had previously worked with. I was ASSURED that the therapist was expecting new patients, however I had to meet with one of the practitioners for intake before I could start back with her. After 2 WEEKS of hearing nothing, I finally called and they told me my therapist was not accepting new patients and there was nothing they could do.
Terrible experience, would not recommend.

Lousy tech and tele-marketing BS

Multiple issues:
Poor tech
Their tech simply doesn't work. Error messages to log in, have to re-enter the same information over and over.

Sales BS
Telemarketers call you to push you to sign up and make an appointment

Both left such a bad taste in my mouth I won't be using them.

Extremely predatory business

Extremely predatory business. I attempted to get more information about what they offer. I couldn't get through as website was freezing and glitching. I received a bill for 100 $ for a missed appointment for essentially looking at the page and requesting information. I honestly believe after reading reviews they likely call people and send charges. I never spoke to anyone from there. I've been called and mailed no information other then pay us 100 for a missed appointment. I read through others experiences and just by answering the phone they were charged upwards of 500. They also from what I read dont use appropriate time zones. I reported them to the better business bureau and asked them to remove my information for fear they'll make more phony bills. Definitely do not inquire about services offer unless you want to be mobbed daily and scammed. They likely sell your information as well. I received weird calls from places I've never heard of after this experience.

$79I for one hour and no treatment

I did a lengthy review before seeing the bill. They billed by insurance almost $800 for a one hour visit which was a waste of my time bc my appointment for management of my adhd meds ended with the provider listing all the reasons it’s dangerous to prescribe adhd meds by telehealth and saying she can’t treat me. Then why do I have an appointment for management of my adhd meds?? It was completely bizarre. I’m only out 30 dollars but they scammed by insurance company for hundreds.

Zero isn't an option

Zero isn't an option. I had an initial appointment with a psychiatrist. NOTHING was explained about a portal, she prescribed 2 medications, took my pharmacy information and NOTHING was prescribed. I waited 3 days and emailed them, only to be told about some portal where I was to provide my pharmacy information. I did that and received an email saying that my information was not in the portal. I ended up calling and was told that my prescriptions MIGHT be sent in Monday. DON'T USE TALKIARY, they are incompetent at best, just make a real appointment with a reliable psychiatrist.

Talkiatry - pleased with service

I've been very pleased with Talkiatry in all aspects - - identification of therapist, scheduling, billing process, follow-up and communication. In particular, Dr. Arjun Kaverimanian has been exceptional in terms of his patient-centric and personal approach - - it has made a big difference in my treatment and progress.

They Do not Care for you

After several emails and texts confirming an appointment, including one hour before the appointment, Talkiatry cancelled the appointment. I had technical difficulties logging in to the portal for the f2f. I contacted technical support, and during the assistance call, they cancelled their service. They would not give a reason, and refused to provide the contact person for revoking HIPAA authorization.

Misleading Cost Information

Very misleading information about cost. I was assured my insurance covered it only to be left with a $500 bill for my first appointment ever. Now I have major anxiety about the bill and had to cancel the next appointment. NOT worth it. The Dr was Steven W. He was late to the appointment and did not know the cost of service when I asked him. We did about 3 questionnaires he said it was the first visit and then now I owe 500. I had to call my insurance and they helped with a discount. Original price would have been $700. Do not get services with this misleading company. I feel scammed and all I was trying to do was get help understanding myself.

Talkiatry is an excellent source for mental health

Talkiatry is a top notch service for anyone needing psychological support.I have been meeting with a Psychiatrist from Talkiatry for almost two years now. Along with her prescribed medication, meeting every 6 weeks or so has helped me so much! I feel better today than at any other time in my life thanks to Dr. Garg! Talkiatry is a terrific service, and since it's all online, it is very easy to get started. Highly recommend!

I was charged $931 for 1 appointment…

I was charged $931 for 1 appointment where I spoke with someone who was supposed to a psychiatrist. They didn't do anything but go over a medical questionaire. They got 339.98 out of my insurance company and billed me the other 591.02. The therapist said she would email me but never did. I was told that they can not manage medication from this platform so if your looking for that save your $1000 and meet someone in person!

Dr Corey Wasser is the man!!!

I would like to start out with saying Dr Corey Wasser has been a blessing. He is knowledgeable and quite good at his profession! I've been struggling with reaching out to a Dr for help and gave Talkiatry a chance without any knowledge of their practice. From my very first appointment Dr Corey Wasser and I hit it off and he has made me feel comfortable in opening up to him with my struggles.

My doctor is great. Some IT issues, annoying policies, and poor customer service are correct and accurate, but the provider's quality makes it worth it.

Highly Recommend

I have found Talkiatry to be both convenient and genuinely effective in helping me manage my medication. My provider is highly knowledgeable about both established and newer medications, including how they interact with other treatments and their potential side effects. He is thoughtful and cautious in his approach, while also being open to my input and respectful of my experiences with what has and hasn’t worked for me. I feel comfortable speaking with him and never feel judged, which has made a meaningful difference in my care.
