Talkpal is a great tool!
Talkpal has been very helpful in my process of learning french. It help me with the redaction of documents, understanding and reviewing my textes. It is great tool for people who study at a different language.

I am getting plenty of speaking…
I am getting plenty of speaking practice. I am able to get explanations for the grammar used. I feel the vocabulary is very practical and the progression gradual. I am high intermediate level, which is where most apps end. BUT through this level, there is plenty of material to learn/practice for higher levels (C1, C2, etc.). I think this app is well worth the subscription cost for any and all levels. Thanks so much for making this a fun and rewarding learning experience.

Signed up for free trial and couldn’t…
Signed up for free trial and used the product. Then got charged after 2 weeks with no warning. After some back and forth, the company did agree to refund the charge. This product is maybe slightly better than Duolingo, but is still not adequate to learn a language. Might help if brushing up before going on a trip somewhere.

My new pal.
I'm a spanish learner. Anyone can keep their head in a book of grammar or tenses. The internet is great for no expense. (My daily spanish, nurias lab for example), but, talking to a friendly spanish aquaintance is another thing entirely. There's nothing to touch talkpal for the price. I guess it would be easy to pull it apart by a seasoned advanced speaker, but, I'm not one of those. "pal" is very well chosen as I suddenly consider it a pal. I spend months each year feeling stupid talking to my new Spanish pals. I feel I'm going to be ready for them now. There's no such thing as instant gardening when learning a language. work is required, full stop. Talkpal doesn't pull a bewildered face as I make an idiot of myself. Really glad I've enrolled.

The learning experience would be good…
The learning experience would be good in theory due to the instant feedback, but unfortunately it's replete with grammar and style errors. The product feels like a beta version. Examples are missing contractions like le+des=les, preposition stacking without "de" and French sentences are often closer to literal translations from English. You are essentially being tought Franglais. I don't think it's undergone quality assurance.

It's amazing for language learning
I really like the amount of tools that it has because ther are various ways for you to learn and that makes the learning path a bit more interesting. It's easier to keep the learning habit on the long term.
However, as a suggestion, it would be nice if you can add some sort of basic introduction to languages just in case you're a complete beginner.
I tried to take some lessons in Korean a couple of days ago, and even though you can imitate the sound of the phrases and memorize the written characters, I don't feel like I'm learning, because I don't understand where all the symbols come from. So I have to study the alphabet and other basics on my own probably on Youtube. Which isn't a big deal but it would be cool if you guys can add those basics lessons so you don't have to look for other resources.
