I've been with Tangerine for years and the actual NBN service/speed/internet itself has been fine (most of the time), living up to expected speeds and very few drops/issues. Based on that alone, this would be 5 stars!
BUT, the moment something does go wrong and you have to use their tech support via online portal or phone call, it becomes the most painful experience I've ever been through trying to get a fix.
Right now 4 days with no internet.
Logged two support calls online, neither have even been looked at yet. Also tried calling, waited over 30mins but couldn't get through to anyone, now even tried lodging an official complaint too, just to see if that jerks someone into action!
Will probably move to another provider after this, as can't be dealing with multiple days offline, with no action being taken when I mainly work from home.

Was supposed to be migrated to Tangerine as a Buddy customer, we have been without internet for a day and half and are being blocked from transitioning to a new ISP. Apparently a big stuff up and some customer got transitioned and accounts created and others like me are in no man's land. My new provider has escalated but we are at the mercy of these clowns. Despite messages and promises of callbacks no one has been in touch. Messages yesterday " we can not check anything because our tool is down" Did not offer any compensation for a 4G service which they provide. In todays day and age to not be able to get basics right is a massive failure. I would estimate most Buddy customers would have transitioned out today or at least tried to.Do yourself a favour go elsewhere.
Update - Just called the number that was advised in your response and they are saying they are not the right team. The catalogue of errors continues another sign to stay away.

Wasted over an hour to their offshore call center this morning who kept telling me everything looked fine at their end and repeatedly telling me to power cycle my router and NBN modem (seriously?). Called again this afternoon to be told there is a known issue with Buddy Telecom customers and to await an update in 24/48 hours. WELCOME TO TANGERINE? No thanks, I'm off to another ISP.
EDIT: I'm back online now, but that was a terrible changeover.

customer with them for a year, the claim great cover for most areas but then you end up having not enough reception to do anything in a speedy manner.
also, needed some recent date from tangerine and they weren't willing to help or provide the date.
took 2 weeks till i had to call and follow up where i was treated as an enemy rather then a customer

Really good prices for a mobile Sim setup, easily the most data for the best price actually, someone inconsistent connect but I'm out in my van with not the most expensive setup so so. But the payment service is awful, it makes you input how much you owe them when you have an overdue bill and makes it unclear if your next payment will come out. The website is hard to navigate and half the time the confirmation code they send you doesn't work, as if that's possible. Great price, decent quality, horrible customer service and website. If you can stomach that you can get some good wifi for a good price though at least.

Took 6 weeks to NOT get internet. I had been with Tangerine for 2 years, I recently moved and went with them again, because I didn’t mind the service until now. That was a mistake. It took 6 weeks, we waited 3 weeks for an NBN technician to come out then it took tangerine a further 2 weeks of ‘wait another two days, another two days’.
It’s possible it could be an NBN hold up right? But it certainly wasn’t because in ONE DAY another internet provider did what tangerine couldn’t in SIX WEEKS. Would never go with tangerine again. WEEKS of calling, hours on the phone, authorising my account over and over again to multiple people every phone call, to have NO INTERNET FOR SIX WEEKS.

Switched from Exetel to Tangerine for the cheaper intro price but immediately had slower speeds, frequent dropouts, and an unreliable connection, despite using the same router and Tangerine advertising the same up and down speeds. Moved to Superloop for the same cost and got dramatically faster, rock‑solid internet. When I cancelled with Tangerine, they kept trying to bill me and added extra exit fees.
Overall: poor reliability and frustrating to leave.

The worst service I've ever had with a company, they absolutely refused to send a technician onsite to fix the issues. After 1 week of back and forth I cancelled the service. The same day I signed up with TPG and it worked immediately even without sending a tech onsite.

I would rank them lower than 1 star if possible.
bought super speedy internet @ $84.90 per month - day 1 they zap that money out of my account.
then after the money is zapped out they say they cannot provide the service we need a hardware upgrade - they will send someone out and in the meantime move me to lower plan @$64.90 per month - fair enough I think.
each month - no hardware upgrade - but still billing at $84.90 per month - I ring customer service - they say oh we will add it as credit to next month .......BUT GUESS WHAT ??? no hardware upgrade and another month of billing at $84.90 - ow $40 overcharged
get to the third month and guess what - another month of over billing - but the hardware upgrade - they had installed in the wrong house and cannot ask NBM to come back and do mine as the system says it done.
so they asked me to call NBM myself and ask them to go to someone else's house uninstall their hardware and install it in mine.
joke of a company - service support staff abroad and have bare understanding of English.
not worth the $10 a month discount they offer vs competitors - you get what you pay for

I have registered with tangerine almost more than a month and still nbn is not activated. Very bad customer service. Even on the appointment day no one appear to fix . Waste of time and money. Very much dissatisfied with tangerine service

I signed up for the 14GB plan and only ever use 7gb a month during 2 years with Belong. However, apparently both me and my wife depleted our 14gb plans within the first week / fortnight of our billing period and have been forced to buy top ups. This seems like an absolute scam. $14 for each 3gb top up and both of us will now be without data because you only can top up 5 times in a billing period. My question is does your data usage system actually work? Time to change providers after having to pay $140 extra on top of our plans this month. What an absolute joke. BUYER BEWARE. P.S. I have added this line to this review as I am unaware as to where I am supposed to access this 'private message'.

If I could give minus one star I would this company is terrible to try and talk to somebody you're on hold 4 LONNGGGG time need more staff answering the phones 1st day of one day being a new customer 1st day I was on hold for 27 minutes then it disconnected the following day my wait time was 30 minutes I waited 40 minutes and then I got disconnected I signed up for the Wi-Fi on Friday night and I only got it on the Monday but I won't be going with it they already charged me on the Friday when I had an already gotten the service I would avoid this company if you want to make the right decision I highly recommend you look at other places and also I've read in many reviews that the speed of this NBN isn't very good either so avoid avoid avoid and also please be aware of also read people that have cancelled have been still getting charged so keep an eye on that and your bank statement thank you I wish I read the reviews before I signed up because I wouldn't have signed up if I had read the reviews because the reviews aren't good at all sorry to say it might be cheap but it's very BIG nightmare to deal with this company
