Narcissistic time wasters

Narcissistic time wasters. Don't go near them.
Couldn't organise a p-up in a brewery. Now they are being aggressive and threatening because they don't know the difference between a day in the week and a 'date', laughable and totally ridiculous that they said that I ought to have 'extrapolate' the date from a day in the week mentioned in the email. Instead of them putting things right, I am now having to pay for their mistake and am not allowed to be unhappy with their irresponsible attitude and narcissistic behaviour.

Hi Fung,

We are very sorry that you feel this way.

We arranged with you via email for your bike to be delivered by the courier on a convenient day specified to you in writing (of which there is a record).

The courier attempted delivery on this day, but no one answered. They also tried a second time, which is standard protocol, but no answer. They have provided us with photographic evidence of being at your address on both occasions.

Standard courier policy – for the safety of your package – is to return your bike to the sender (being us) when delivery fails, which they did.

Unfortunately, because the courier had carried out their duty, a second courier booking would incur a cost, which we notified you of, and you agreed via email. However, once we invoiced you for the amount (which is the standard courier cost, no surcharges), you began emailing our staff in a rude and aggressive manner.

A member of our team phoned you this morning to talk matters over and come to some agreement, but again you treated our staff poorly. When you hung up on us, we tried to call you back, but you would not answer.

We can appreciate that this is not an ideal situation for either of us, as we both want the same thing, which is to return your bike to you.

We are afraid that due to the offensive way in which you have treated our staff, we are only prepared to communicate with you via email going forward. Please check your inbox.

Thank you, Target Composites

Committed to making things right

Target have the slickest marketing of the (very few) carbon repair specialists in the UK and clearly also have the most high-tech equipment for inspection and repair, so I imagine their carbon work must be great. My insurance company used them for a bike inspection and thankfully there was no carbon damage so I can't comment on their carbon repair.

There were some minor issues with the rebuild of the bike though so I had to ask for more support after I got it back. It was dealt with mostly through my insurance, but then the owner of Target phoned me completely unprompted to apologise for the problems, take full responsibility, and ask me more about my experience so he could understand what went wrong, make sure it was fully resolved for me, and ensure it doesn't happen again to other customers in future. I don't think I've ever experienced that from any other company before and I was really impressed with the way he handled the situation.

I don't usually write Trustpilot reviews but I thought that deserved a 5-star rating. No company is going to be perfect all the time so I'd much rather take my business to someone who will take ownership and fix the issue when something goes wrong than to a company where all I can find are success stories and just hope I'm not one of the few that has a problem.
