TCH Salsa is a scheme which enables employees to acquire a brand new car every 2 or 3 years under a Salary Sacrifice arrangement with their employer. By agreeing to a reduction in your salary which goes towards paying the monthly rental for your car, you can save an amount of tax and national insurance on the remainder of your salary. Although you have to pay company car tax as the provision of the car by the employer is classed as a ‘benefit in kind’, the tax and NI savings often outweigh the company car tax.

I've had a great experience with…

I've had a great experience with Tchsalsa. The information while I was waiting for the car delivery date was great. I had a update email every Friday. And once I had a delivery date. I had a call informing me what time the car would be delivered.⁸
My car was delivered to my house by lorry. The man who delivered the car was really helpful and polite. I've had no issues with the car at all. Great service from day one. ☆☆☆☆☆

Good experience

Easy to order, kept updated throughout the process, booking services and maintenance appears to be an easy process, but have not yet needed to.

My only issue is the website could be a bit more revealing on the type of car you are looking at, all pictures are generic for a car model, it would be nice to see the look of the actual car you are currently looking at. Instead of having to look online at car dealer sites to see what model types look like and what packages include what and what the car comes with as standard.

Other than that it has been a decent experience so far.

In terms of images, the data providers we use supply generic images for model ranges rather than individual derivatives, though this should give you a very good indication of what the car looks like. The information about each car should also indicate what is included as standard or available as an additional option. If you would like to provide us with any specific details on the models that you reviewed and information that wasn't available, we'd be happy to refer this back to our data provider.

Generally poor communication. Probably better suited to larger fleets.

Communication is generally poor, both before and after delivery.

Reviewing and changing the mileage at the end of year 1 (as agreed) proved unnecessarily difficult and time consuming.E-mails go unanswered and you’ll have to hope you can get hold of the account manager. Even finding out how to book a service was more difficult than needed. Overall, I hope we can find an alternative SalSac provider when the time comes to change.

Lease car service support

The car had a fault which meant the car was not safe to drive, I called the support desk and was told it is under the manufactures warranty and they put me through to them. Then over the next 3 weeks I had to sort everything out myself even though my contract is with Tchsalsa. I emailed them but they showed no real interest, no follow up courtesy calls to see if all is fixed etc.. I pay a service fee as part of the contract lease for this and expect a bit more than what I got, to top it off I still had to pay a full month for a car that was useable for 3 weeks.
