What a nightmare it has been being a…

What a nightmare it has been being a customer of TCL TV! We bought a 55-inch TCL TV in February, and by November, it already developed a black screen issue. Despite the 36-month warranty, the hassle we had to go through to get it replaced was absolutely ridiculous. Instead of replacing the TV directly, TCL made arrangements with the supplier, and we were told we had to take the TV to the supplier’s location ourselves—at our own cost.

This cost us NZD 143 because the TV didn’t fit in any car. When we purchased it, the TV was delivered to us, but to get it fixed, we had to book a van since no Uber driver would accept transporting it. The entire ordeal was exhausting. Eventually, we got so fed up that we arranged to get store credits with the supplier, returned the faulty TCL TV, and paid several hundred dollars extra to buy a Samsung TV instead.

We’ve now decided to never, ever consider buying from TCL again. Yes, their products are low-cost, but we never expected the quality to be so substandard and the customer service so unresponsive and frustrating. They dragged their feet throughout the process, and despite repeated calls, we never got proper support. It’s been a horrible experience!
