Not a reputable business

Closed on a home construction loan. Terms were 18 months interest only, then conversion to an amortizing mortgage. When my house was not completed within 18 months, I asked for a 60 day extension. TD denied the request, saying an extension required proof of a hurricane or other natural disaster. When I asked for the contract provision they were relying on for this position, I was provided a document that indicated that a 6 month extension was available on payment of a $525 fee, no other requirement listed. I tendered the $525 and asked for the stipulated extension. Instead of complying with their own documents, they began charging me interest on money I had never borrowed in a mortgage. There are reputable banks out there; TD is not one.

I received a notification on my TD…

I received a notification on my TD credit card on 8/27 for: Merchant Name: MINIMUM CHARGE
Amount: 1.00. I called TD about it. They said it was a charge from TD because I had not paid off my full statement balance. They said it was in the customer agreement. I was more confused after I hung up with them. In desperation I Googled it. It turns out that the charge was a minimum interest charge. If your credit card has a low balance, they charge you a minimum of $1 in interest. Not only was the transaction description vague, but the agent I spoke to led me to believe it was some kind of penalty for not paying off my entire credit card balance.

Positive Experience with a Customer Service Representative

I would especially like to recognize the TD Visa Customer Service representative who assisted me, whose name I believe was Simran, although I apologize if I have remembered or spelled it incorrectly. What remained with me after the call was the unusual degree of patience, attentiveness, and composure she brought to the conversation, listening closely enough to understand the substance of my concern without requiring me to repeatedly restate it, while communicating with a clarity that made an otherwise frustrating matter considerably easier to navigate. There was a warmth in the way she spoke with me that coexisted naturally with her professionalism and efficiency, and the cumulative effect was an interaction in which I felt genuinely listened to and taken seriously. I hope TD is able to identify her through the TD Visa Customer Service call record and ensure that this feedback reaches her, because the quality of service she provided reflected exceptionally well on TD and deserves recognition.

My other bank gave me the money without an ID using my debit card and pin. The manager was an idiot!! This was Bensalem PA street rd branch.

It is one of the worst

It is one of the worst! Td banks customer service is atrocious! I have been on hold for 48 minutes and counting! I have tried to change my password and it keeps telling me it is not accepted! I have tried more than about 58 different variations and still not right! Their technical support cannot fix the issue! Their in the branch customer service is even worst! They bait and switch you and charge you maintenance fees! One of the worst banks I have ever had an account with!

I actually like TD

I actually like TD. It is relatively quick to get someone through customer service. In branch appts are easy as well. They do well as a bank. I would only caution a new customer on their fees. They have a habit of changing their fee structure and not making the change obvious. More recently they changed the minimum amount required to waive the unlimited chequing account monthly fee by $1000. If you missed the letter (I did)... fees. But generally you can call them and ask they remove the fee. I've dealt with other banks. I'd still pick TD over Scotia, CIBC, and BMO. BMO would be my second choice. CIBC, and Scotia... I'd have to be really desperate. Too bad Scotia tends to have the better credit cards. TD doesn't have a very good selection (-1 star for that). They need to get a CC with no foreign exchange rate.

The TD Bank has Become Thieves!

The TD Bank has become outright "thieves". They have recently charged my account a $10.⁰⁰ fee, to take money out of my savings account, on two separate occasions. They have decided to undertake Communist methods of "stealing money from account holders", yet continuing to make millions in profit, every quarter of the year. Pathetic and cheap management decisions. I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU bank with the TD Bank.

TD Bank- Stands for Total Disregard Bank

If you have been desiring to invest your money, savings, potential mortgages and assets with a bank that puts customer service, loyalty of customers, and customer experience at the lowest platform of their values, then TD is the bank for you. After 26 years of being a bank customer, it is time to get back in the driver seat and have my bank work for me vs the other way around.

This is honestly the WORST bank I have…

This is honestly the WORST bank I have ever dealt with, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Their so-called “security” system makes everything unnecessarily difficult. Apparently, I can only resolve certain issues by physically going to a branch, because trying to handle anything over the phone is basically a complete waste of time.

My debit card has been missing for over an entire month. I have spoken to multiple employees about this situation, and somehow I’m still dealing with the same problem. I work 14-hour shifts, so every time I have to leave late, come in late, or rearrange my schedule just to go to the bank and fix another ridiculous issue, it costs me valuable time.

Today, I called again and was told that I could not be verified over the phone. I provided my Social Security information, date of birth, phone number, and the verification code sent directly to my phone. So please explain to me: what exactly do you need to verify that I am the actual account holder? At this point, it feels completely unreasonable.

And getting my paycheck deposited into this account is another nightmare. You advertise that it takes 7 business days, but in my experience it has taken almost two weeks or even longer. That is unacceptable when people depend on their money to pay their bills and take care of their responsibilities.

I have been patient. I have spoken to multiple employees. I have brought these issues up repeatedly, and nothing seems to actually get fixed.

If this is how you treat your customers, I genuinely hope people think twice before opening an account with this bank. I would not recommend this bank to anyone based on my experience, and I hope management seriously looks at these problems before you lose even more customers.

Worst banking experience I have ever had.

TD Bank on Long Beach Island

TD Bank on Long Beach Island, NJ, is the worst bank you will ever encounter. Its manager, Sebastian Salazar, is incompetent and clearly filling a quota. Can’t move my accounts out of this bank fast enough; many of my friends and fellow business owners are following suit. Until TD improves its management and customer service, I will bank elsewhere.

I went to deposit my 1099 business…

I went to deposit my 1099 business check into the atm and the machine glitched ; asked me to confirm the amount then the processing hourglass continued to spin for longer than normal ultimately never processing or uploading my check. After filing a dispute the bank made me feel that this dilema was completely out of their control due to the fact that the atm machine was services by an outside vendor "brinks". I have yet to recieve a provisional credit or my check returned. I am waiting for Brinks which only does an audit twice a week leaving me feeling helpless and out of my finances, after going to the bank and speaking with the managers I have yet to get my check or my cash leaving me in a inconvenient situation, sucks . Why they couldn't verify or retrieve my attemp to deposit this is a poor way of managing business and leaves the customer helpless.Last they filed the claim for the atm error incorrectly not only leaving me w out my check but now my ATM banking card was cancelled under LOST stolen ATM claim! I couldn’t even get gas today 😤
