Fantastic! We needed to find additional support for our son for GCSE Business, and finding our tutor, Sarah Clayton, via Teachers To Your Home, was perfect. The coordination via TTYH was great and very professional, and the quality of teaching by Sarah Clayton was outstanding. Sarah is an amazing teacher and was perfect for our son. She delivers sessions in a down to earth, knowledgable and friendly fashion. She immediately built a great relationship with our son and her pace of delivery was excellent. Even our son has commented ‘if only all teachers were as good as Sarah’! Students are given access to past exams and all lesson support online. Thank you TTYH - and a huge thank you Sarah.

Care more about the clients than the teachers. My account has been locked and removed. I don’t have the time for weekend roles which a lot of parents wanted so we communicated but I never went ahead with the lessons. Clearly money mad people who run this organization.

There are 3 directors but it is run by Jim, Andrew James Dixon.
He has made assumptions and implied as a tutor I took on roles while cutting the agency out. He stated that I communicated a lot with parents but have not taken on any role. Well, I explained to him that I work for the local authority and needed weekend roles only but parents mostly wanted weekday roles so he just made up in his finance-oriented mind that I went behind his back. I feel sorry for people like him with his narrow minded, finances-oriented approach who would miss the pleasure working with me. Jim or James, you cannot take your money into the grave like the Egyptians.

I've been using TTYH for a few years now to source tutors for various subjects and overall I have found the experience very good. I have found some excellent teachers through the service and invoicing and payments has been very straightforward from my side no issues at all.

They do put their fee on top of each lesson which is a fair bit but overall it still seems good value and nice to have the security of knowing you have a qualified teacher rather than a tutor who are a bit more unpredictable. I plan to continue to use TTYH for the majority of my tutoring needs.

As a Tutor I have to say that Jim & Gill are great to work for. They are the best Tuition Agency in many ways. I have been with TTYH for over three years now. The communication is excellent & the relatively new payment system means that Tutors can have their pay after 4-5 days. I would recommend to any potential Tutor to use TTYH & likewise to any potential parent. ANW NEWMAN

Excellent service. I found reliable vetted tutors with a huge amount of experience. With an easy to set up payment. Lots of resources at your fingertips for subjects.
Would highly recommend. This helped my daughter immensely getting her ready for her A levels. Thank you.

An unprofessional organisation which seems to be run by one person called Jim.

It is clear that he values his clients over the teachers he depends on to run his business.

As a fully qualified and experienced teacher, I have been disturbed by the continual invoicing issues since commencing tutoring in November 2024.

Worse, the client emailed me to cancel lessons but it went into my junk folder. As I was unaware of the cancellation, I prepared the lesson and had to call the client to ask if his son would be attending the lesson. He was unapologetic and Jim insisted that he gave me notice so there was no fault on his part and a cancellation fee was not therefore payable.

It is clear that the main priority is the clients and that any misunderstanding is always weighted in their favour at the expense of the Tutor.

If you wish to be treated with respect and receive due payment for poorly notified lesson cancellations, this is certainly not a company I would recommend to any qualified teacher.
