★☆☆☆☆ 2–5 day delivery took almost 6 weeks — 6 months later they are still trying to charge me extra
I placed and paid for one order of four slam balls on 26 March 2026. Their website stated that delivery should be expected within 2–5 days.
After almost three weeks with no delivery, I contacted Teamsports simply asking what had happened to my shipment. I did not request a refund or a replacement.
Teamsports initially blamed the delay on DHL. Then, on 28 April, they decided on their own to arrange a replacement shipment. Their customer service specifically wrote to me: “I have arranged for a replacement shipment to be sent to you.” The replacement was issued as a €0.00 replacement delivery.
The original parcel eventually arrived on 5 May — almost six weeks after I placed the order. This meant that, because of the replacement Teamsports had chosen to send, I now had two shipments.
The situation then became ridiculous.
I received an email from Teamsports stating: “Some time ago you registered a return request with us.”
I had done no such thing.
I replied explicitly telling them that I had not requested, initiated or authorised any return, just as I had never requested the replacement shipment in the first place.
Their own customer service subsequently acknowledged that there had been problems transporting my original shipment and that “as a result, a follow-up shipment was arranged.”
They nevertheless continued demanding that I return the additional goods. On 1 June, Teamsports told me that I had failed to notify them about the eventual delivery of the original parcel, something they claimed I was “legally required to do”, and told me that I must return one shipment “or we will issue you an invoice.”
And unbelievably, this is still going on in October 2026.
More than six months after placing my original order, Teamsports is still sending invoices/payment demands for approximately €50 worth of balls from the additional shipment they themselves decided to send me.
I have retained the complete email correspondence, invoices and order documentation should any of this be disputed.
A DHL delay by itself would never have resulted in a one-star review from me. Delivery problems happen.
My complaint is about how Teamsports handled everything afterwards: a 2–5 day delivery taking almost six weeks; sending an unsolicited replacement; issuing it as a €0.00 replacement delivery; subsequently claiming that I had registered a return when I had not; invoking a supposed legal obligation and warning that they would invoice me; and still pursuing payment six months later for goods they chose to send.
Based on my experience, I would not order from Teamsports again.
