Telnyx has refused to approve my compliance documents. The customer care agent, keeps asking for documents, and when I upload them, they reject them and still ask for the same documents again
I think this is a scam operation because they will not even give me back my money. Within 5 minutes of setting up, they asked me to deposit money to buy the number, which I did. Then they refused my documents on false pretence, and now they will not refund my money
This is by far the worst service I have received all year

I ran into an issue with signup verification, but their support team was very responsive and quickly helped resolve it. Setup was straightforward, and I was up and running within a couple of hours. The interface and features look impressive, and Telnyx's SIP trunk pricing seems very competitive.
very bad takes forever to set up a number and they do one document at a time so you will have to redo the entire prosses multipule times just to get a requirment group and then have to go thrugh the same prosses again and again, and they never respond to issues or questions their support is non existent its only there for show it never works!!!

Our experience with Telnyx has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
We faced repeated account access issues where our account was flagged as fraudulent, then unblocked, blocked again, and unblocked once more — all without clear explanation. This kind of inconsistency makes it very difficult to rely on the platform for any serious business use.
On top of that, their customer support response time has been very slow. In our case, it took more than 8 hours just to receive a reply while our operations were impacted. When they finally responded, we were asked to repeatedly provide sensitive verification details to resolve issues that were not caused by us, but by their system.
Currently, we are also facing problems with 2FA, which has completely locked us out of the account.
Overall, the service feels unstable, and the support process is inefficient and inconvenient.
I would not recommend this platform for businesses that require reliability and timely support.

Absolutely amazing customer support! I found their Slack channel and within minutes had my issue resolved.
Telnyx does what it should - and even more!
The only relevant player with voiceHD numbers and really fair prices. Customer support is actually helpful and brings in a human if AI cannot help. That's how it should be.
We’ve been using Telnyx extensively and they’ve been a very solid partner. Their platform is built properly from the ground up, not just layered on top of third-party infrastructure, which shows in the pricing, call quality and reliability.
Support has been consistently responsive, pricing is competitive, and their capabilities are genuinely ahead of where most providers are right now.
The process of getting my 10DLC brand and campaign approved was long and honestly frustrating at times, but that was no fault of Keven and Jonathan's. They were patient, thorough, and responsive at all hours of the day. Every time I had a rejection or a question I didn't understand, they reached out proactively to explain things in depth without me having to ask. I never felt like I was left in the dark. Truly great customer service from start to finish.
I should have considered the bad reviews here seriously. I have completed your KYC process carefully and I got a success message. But you go ahead and send me an email saying my account cannot be verified after you have charged me a fee?? This company/website is not recommended to anyone who values their privacy and money.
:: You can go ahead and search my email in your database.
Edit:
I asked your AI chatbot if my account is verified and It just told me this (Why the contradiction??):
Yes, your account is verified.
**Verification Status:**
- **KYC Status:** Accepted
- **Email:** Confirmed
- **Account Status:** Active (not blocked or suspended)
Your account is in good standing and fully verified. You should have access to all Telnyx services available for your account type. If you have questions about specific features or need additional verification for certain services, feel free to ask.

10dlc campaigns are tricky to setup and Telnyx support helped me navigate it quickly! Highly recommend!

We just noticed your reply to the ticket was sent to our spam folder. Sorry about that.
Although still not happy to be ignored for months and 10+ emails to be able to receive a ticket n.
An account deletion option should be offered under profile setting by default!
Thanks for your attention.

Answer to your reply:
How about the name we provided to you via trustpilot when you requested more info to see if you are able to flag our review for removal?!
After 3 months we got a ticket number 10 days ago: #2819885 and still NOTHING!
--------------------------------------------------------------
We opened an account, verified with biometrics. Paid and charged the balance. The number compliance verification was not approved without specific reason ( high risk domain )
We are in business for 5 years with 2 order disputes! Not sure what that means!? Nothing risky about a fashion accessories shop.
Anyway we have sent several emails / filled out their contact forms to delete our account and data deletion for months and have received ZERO response!
At this point it’s so alarming and we are worried there is something sketchy with this company! We will report it to legal authorities.
Thanks for your attention.

The hands on assistance in getting our brand and campaigns built ahead of full API integration was fundamental and handled expertly. And that we had a dedicated and hugely knowledgable Telnyx advisor made all the difference in getting the project launched - successfully and ahead of schedule. Huge recommendation.
I chose Telnyx for their voice infrastructure while building an AI-powered phone system. From a technical standpoint, the platform itself seems strong, which makes this experience even more frustrating.
The real problem is the customer support and onboarding process. KYC verification took over a week, mainly because of extremely slow response times. You spend a lot of time waiting just to get a reply from someone who can actually move things forward.
What makes it worse is that the delays don’t stop there. After finally getting my account verified, I still cannot use the phone number I already purchased. I now have to wait another 72 hours for additional verification. So even after more than a week of delays, I’m still blocked from actually using the service.
This kind of fragmented and slow process is unacceptable, especially for a company that targets developers and businesses that need to move fast. It completely stalled my project and delayed my go-to-market.
At this point, it doesn’t matter how good the infrastructure is if you can’t actually access it. The lack of responsive support and the endless verification steps make Telnyx very difficult to rely on.

Terrible Support. They have lots of verification (for account, for each number, for each country) and no feedback on how the support process is going. Asking questions means multiple weeks of wait-time. If you want a reliable business solution look elsewhere

This company has implemented AI robot when you call - which is great - asks all the questions and I gave all answers but the sales team does not get the answers I gave. They set up meetings and cancelled thinking I am a small business whereas we spend in excess of 5 digits a month. The current system that Telnyx has will certainly bring them to the bottom of business growth. If the sales team has such horrible service, you can be rest assured there is zero or negative customer service after you sign up. Do not touch these lousy people

Tried their KYC four times with no success.
If you make KYC required before usage, make sure it works!

just a scam. I had to pay 10e to get a number that i got denied, no refund. Then they managed to get my account at -2.3e and no answer !

I'm finally up and running but it wasn't easy - but Telnyx's attentive customer service is what saved me. I thought the instructions on the website could be more inuitive and it took me nearly 3-4 weeks to get an SMS number. Turns out I was doing things a bit wrong - but I was following directions. When I pinged the customer service team, they helped me and got me pointed in the right direction. I'm fully up and running now but it took longer than I had expected.
I stopped using this service during onboarding because the identity verification requirements were far too invasive for the level of protection offered in return
The verification flow appeared to require extremely sensitive personal data, including biometric data such as facial scans, and potentially other telecom/device-related identifiers. Data at this level is not ordinary KYC information. If such information is ever leaked, mishandled, or exposed, the consequences for a person can be severe and long-lasting. You can replace a password. You cannot replace your face, biometric profile, or deeply linked device/subscriber data
What makes this even worse is that the legal framework around this process seems heavily one-sided. The terms appear to impose broad limitations of liability, allow extensive third-party processing and sharing, cap damages at a very small amount relative to the sensitivity of the data involved, and also remove the possibility of class action relief. In practical terms, users are asked to assume extraordinary privacy and security risk, while the companies collecting and processing that data accept very little meaningful responsibility if something goes wrong
That is not a fair trade. Asking people to hand over some of the most sensitive data they have, under terms like these, just so they can access a paid telecom service, is not just unreasonable — it is absurd
I strongly encourage anyone considering this service to carefully read the verification terms, privacy policy, liability limitations, and dispute clauses before submitting any personal data
##### Replay Update #####
I am not arguing that you should not collect KYC data. If telecom regulations require identity verification, then collect what is legitimately necessary. That is not the core issue
The real issue is accountability
If a company chooses to collect highly sensitive personal data especially biometric data and other deeply identifying information then its legal responsibility should be proportionate to the sensitivity of that data. You cannot require users to hand over data they can never change, while at the same time limiting your liability to a trivial amount, allowing broad third-party sharing and processing, and stripping users of meaningful legal recourse such as collective action
A company cannot reasonably say: “We are required to collect this level of data, we may share it with multiple parties involved in the process, and if something goes wrong your remedies are minimal.” That is not balanced risk allocation. That is an attempt to transfer nearly all of the downside to the user while retaining nearly all of the operational discretion for the company and its vendors.
Responsibility must match the gravity of the data being collected. If you collect ordinary KYC information, that is one thing. If you collect biometric identifiers and other highly sensitive verification data, then the duty of care and the consequences for misuse, exposure, leakage, or mishandling should be correspondingly serious
The point is simple: if you require people to assume extraordinary privacy and security risk, then you should also be willing to assume extraordinary responsibility when that risk materializes. Anything less is not a fair bargain!
