Don't expect Temtop/Elitech to honour the warranty
Here I'm specifically reviewing the company's (Temtop is made by Elitech Technology Inc.) refusal to honour their statutory obligations, i.e. their warranty.
I say this because I actually like their air quality monitors, they're some of the best on the market in the UK. However, the LKC1000S+ is described as being able to export data, and doesn't function as described.
Now basic contract law stipulates that a product is faulty if it is not, or doesn't function as, is described. But when I stated this to their customer 'support' department they simply stopped replying to my emails.
I'm not a whinger, I wouldn't be contacting them unless I knew I was in the right, and I paid over a hundred quid for this air quality monitor - one of the key features I required, one of the reasons I bought this particular model, was for its data export feature. I couldn't believe it when they simply stated "I'm afraid the device that you have doesn't have the data export function". As if that was the end of the matter.
I'm not going to take this to small claims but I am pretty disgusted at the company's attitude to its own legal obligations. They simply seem as though they couldn't care less.
So I suggest, if you're going to buy a Temtop monitoring device that you check all the features within the 30 days after receiving it (and return to the seller asap if it is defective in any way), because chances are the company won't honour the warranty and will just ignore you, as they have me.
