Ten Minutes Late, A Lot of Respect Lost my deep…
I’d like to express my deep disappointment with the experience I had at your center yesterday. I had an appointment scheduled for 3:40 PM. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected bus delay — caused by school dismissal traffic at that time — I arrived around ten minutes late. I had already been on the bus since 2:45 PM, but because of frequent stops and heavy traffic, the delay was completely out of my control.
When I arrived, I attempted to check in using the display, but was told to go to the reception desk. There were already two people waiting there, which caused a further delay. Once I was finally assisted, I calmly explained the situation. The young woman I spoke with was kind, to be fair, but informed me that I had missed my time slot and would need to book a new appointment.
I understand the importance of punctuality, but I honestly find it unreasonable that I wasn’t given any chance to be seen — especially considering that the delay was not intentional and that I’ve always been extremely punctual for all my previous appointments, often arriving 10–15 minutes early.
What disappointed me even more was receiving a message after I got home, stating that I had “missed” my appointment and warning me that if I miss two more, I could be removed from the system. I found this message unnecessarily harsh, especially given that I was physically at the center and had explained the situation.
That kind of impersonal and threatening tone feels out of place in a healthcare environment that should prioritize care, empathy, and understanding.
This experience has seriously made me consider changing health centers, as I believe patients deserve a bit more flexibility and human consideration — particularly when circumstances are beyond their control.
Very disappointed.
