You're throwing your money into a bonfire immediately upon paying. Everything everyone else below is saying here is true. They don't get your music placed, they send you a cheap certificate made on word. Zero money transacted for anything. Their game is "Pay us a monthly fee, we'll string you along and keep you paying, when you have questions most of them will be directed to an AI chatbot that doesn't want to give you his info, when you do get it, we'll not answer very quickly if ever and then, we'll just tell you "Start networking with the folks at the library so that you stay paying and keep giving them more money" It's a hopes and dreams scam. I joined to check the validity of them, I knew they were fake initially but just had to verify one thing. I've been in the industry for 15 years, this is what I do. I can guarantee that I have more placements under my belt than this company has every landed for all of the artists they've worked with combined. I'll say it again, if you want to throw your money into a bonfire, at least ask for my Venmo/cashapp, it won't get burned there and I'll actually give you solid info on who WON'T do this type of thing to you straight out the gate!
This company is fraudulent. They claim to submit your tracks to several libraries, but each library ONLY takes exclusive placements. If a track is exclusive by definition it CANNOT be placed in another library. ThatPitch gives no details of what the licensing terms are or any proof that they're actually placing any of your music. They say you get 100% of the royalties, but supposedly act as an intermediary. They receive your money but don't charge for being the middleman? If you receive anything, you don't even know what you should be receiving for the placement. I and many other people I've heard have received nothing. You get no verification whatsoever that what they're saying is true. IMO Mark Eckert is a scammer. He gave several non-answers in a row to my specific questions. Stay away from ThatPitch.com.
Super sketchy and almost 100% likely a scam. First of all, where are all the ads people have placed? He's been sending out the same three emails since I joined well over a year ago. The "placements" are just lottery payments paid out to members using their own membership fees. There are no advertising agents shopping the catalog. You're just paying to give your songs to a "song merchant" who is then selling them privately for added income. Also, check the dude's credibility. All his major credits are as an assistant mix engineer, something which can be bought. Other than that, he's probably produced less music than you, as evidenced by his Spotify.
I was initially impressed with That Pitch, got 2 placements pretty quickly...the problem? I never got paid for either of them. You're supposed to be paid 90 days after placement..well it's been 6 months and nothing...also no human replies to me asking when my payment is coming, whilst my subscription money came out each month, so i've cancelled my account. And by the way these are buy out payments, not royalty based so nothing to do with my PRO.
I'll also be using the 'exclusive' tracks that were licensed by them for other purposes now. Feels very scammy, and I'll be telling everyone to avoid this company.
Thatpitch.com is a pay to play sync licensing racket. After you pay to join, you submit your music and give them all the rights to the music and this is just to get a chance at earning a measly 250$ for your song. About 10 songs are picked a month while there are thousands or tens of thousands of artists submitting. So TP gets all that music for free and just pay for a few of them. Complete ripoff and abuse. You'd be better off pitching at any other sync library
