Resolving dead people adverts

TV shows are spot on; It's the doom and gloom funeral adverts that are the problem. There more main stay on this channel than the shows.....it's enough for me to change sides (channels) while these ads are running.

Cheap and nasty, dull and very, very repetitive.

This network of several channels on Freeview is essentially a knock-off of Talking Pictures TV but on the cheapest possible budget: most of the old TV shows repeated are shown twice a day and then repeated again a few days later, and much of the former ITV content is shown in the wrong aspect ratio (16:9 instead of 4:3). Also, their channels keep changing (e.g. That's 60s and 70s were replaced by "That's Dance" and "That's Oldies"), the music content is a mix of some interesting archive material, a lot of mediocre pop and a sizable helping of recycled light entertainment dog faeces culled from two long-forgotten mid-1960s US TV shows that only an imbecile would find entertaining, after watching this footage an hour or two on one day and then again some days later, it becomes obvious that they keep repeating the same material.
A prime example of this low-cost, low-quality output is the short-lived "That's 60s" channel, When they launched this, it was billed as having specially-curated content and "the best music" which would be shown in genre-based shows; both of these billings were 99% false, only one show (with Tony Blackburn) was produced to promote the channel on launching and the rest of it turned out to be a mix of low-resolution videos lifted from the internet and archive material culled mostly from US TV or the German TV show "Beat Club", with no common denominator, so the likes of The Hollies or The Who would be followed by some vomit-inducing clip of Jerry Lewis (the unfunny comedian who made films with Dean Martin) and his pop singer son Gary covering The Beatles’ "Help". This channel was then repurposed as "That's Dance" or "That's 80s" but they frequently broadcast old music in a similar format to fill the post-midnight schedules; in fact it is similar but worse: now, all the footage is either from "Beat Club" or the two US shows so it is the same footage of either "British Invasion" bands or what only be described as absolute rubbish again and again, which is either Beatles' covers mimed by TV actors and has-been teen pop idols, or cardigan-wearing dancers jumping around to the theme from a TV show, hardly “The Best Music – Live.” No wonder the only advertisers are charities looking for bequests, funeral plans or online gambling.

Too many funeral reminders

Programs good as comedys from 70's 80's that never date. What irritates a lot of people Ive spoken to is the constant and repeated funeral adverts or insurance. Older people also buy other stuff as well and dont want to be constantly reminded literally in every ad break of death and neither would younger ones and its been the same adverts for a long time - does this channel think most older people dont arrange anything and/or should just fade away ? Dont think this channel in that way is good for older and other peoples mental health. Progs fine adverts depressing.

Suggest they change the name to repeat

Suggest they change the name of the channel to Repeat, repeat. It’s obvious there is no program scheduler and if they do they don’t understand what a series is, ie episode one follows episode two and so on, also think they could do with a calendar so they could know when Christmas is so that they don’t show Christmas specials in the middle of the year. I honestly don’t think anyone actually works on these channels as currently the sound and picture quality has gone worse, this is just the dead channels. Dead channels show mainly funeral plan ads, life insurance, gifts in wills oh and inappropriate pre watershed ads for incontinent pads and viagra.

Now THREE channels full of rubbish!!

Three channels.
That's TV
That's TV 2
That's Memories

Lots of ads from the same company for gambling...see my review on them. Bad news. Woke warnings about content...yet they still cut it.

On That's TV 1 & 2 - they've had the same episode of the same programme at the same time!

Only on air for advertisers.

Example of pathetic programming - Kenny Everett; in the on screen guide - every episode states 'all in the best possible taste' - yet THAT segment referring to 'Cupid Stunt' is ALWAYS removed. Unprofessional rubbish!!

Good programs but spoilt by the constant bleeps just in case someone gets offended. Ruins just about every program
Bird of a feather goodnight sweetheart etc. At 60 years old I think I can cope with the odd very weak swear word.
Far too politically correct.
Of course I have a choice so I no longer watch that’s Tv

Needs a program scheduler

Who came up with the stupid idea to show text messages on screen at the same time as the program, the news items are irrelevant to me, the travel news is pointless, it totally confuses my wife who has dementia. We watch usually in the evenings, mainly Bread and Benidorm, but now they have started showing random episodes of Bread and Benidorm seems to be on a continuous loop. The other night the picture froze and then once the program started it was slow making the sound difficult to listen to and annoying to watch, this lasted for 30 minutes until we gave up, proving that nobody works at That’s TV in the evening or they are watching other channels. Perhaps if they employed a program planner who at least knows what a series is and knows you play them in the correct sequence or are they testing us to see if anyone watches.
Get rid of the news and travel messages or show them without the program like we used to have when we had teletext, show series in order not random episodes.
