Also in the motor trade

As a business in the motor trade, who deal with numerous workshops, I have to say the customer service provided by ECU Doctor was exceptional. I would happily recommend to colleagues and customers. Thanks again for all your help

whitch doctor

Send my boxter imobilizer to them to fix it,everything was working except starting. They returned it after a week or so, tripple the estimated price, after I paid, the imobilizer was not working fully, 4 things wrong with it, incloding windows, air bag, and driver seat, not working, called them many times, they were in meeting or not there, or call back, or leave voice mail, took the car to their shop, they told me the problem is with my car, may be mechanical, I was surrounded and insulted repeadetly, threatened, was really afraid, I am 80 years old small man,and almost handicapped, they took video of me, telling me the car is working fine, and they basically throw me out. Now have to take the car to a dealer to fix it.
I have master degree in math and science, am familiar with building computers , programming and troubleshooting, fixing may car since 1970s.
That was my experience with ecu doctors.
Good luck.

The ecu doctor was my last resort after BMW had failed

The ecu doctor was my last resort after the local BMW people expressed disinterest, and both my local garage and local specialist auto electricians had all failed. With fading hope of a fix I contacted the-ecu-doctor and I was contacted in return pretty much immediately thereafter. I was offered advice which I followed (a google search on that advice revealed the exact same problem with other people's cars - BMWs). I followed the online advice and - lo and behold - that problem which had bedevilled my car for three years was fixed! You can imagine my relief. I recommend the ecu-doctor without reservation. The advice I received was friendly, helpful and straight to the real heart of the problem. Thanks.

Rapid turnaround

Sent off my faulty ECU on Wednesday and got it back the following Wednesday. Fitted it easily and it worked! I've got my car back! ECU Doctor was very helpful in their advice to me before I committed and now I am very pleased that I did. Highly Recommended.

BEWARE of ECU Doctors

BEWARE ! of ECU Doctor

ECU Doctor's repair on my ECU on my Porsche 911 - 1986 did not work. The ECU hunted +- 800 rpm at idle after repair.

Assuming the ECU had been repaired, I spent 16 hours of mechanic's time and numerous parts to try to find the problem. Finally, we pulled the ECU and noticed they had a resistor not soldered in place and sent it back to ECU Doctors. ECU Doctors tested the unit and said it was out of spec and repaired the unit on warranty. Upon reinstalling the 2nd time repaired unit, the car still hunted in idle. Next move was we swapped the ECU with another ECU another mechanic had in his '86 911 and all worked. Feeling that ECU Doctors were unable to fix the ECU, we got an ECU from Vertex. This unit works fine.

Owner of ECU Doctor's "Jorge" refused to refund the cost of their repair that did not work. He felt that after 2 unsuccessful attempts at repair, he was due a third shot.

In writing this, I looked around the Internet and found many reviews like this. The 3 mechanics who worked on my car mentioned that ECU Doctors gets it right about 3 out of 4 times. All 3 mechanics had had previous bad experiences with ECU Doctor.

BEWARE THEY MAKE ERRORS OFTEN.
