I enjoy the wide range of subject content. I am learning even more about all of the famous artists from throughout the ages as well as discovering unknown artists who are just as fascinating.
When I get the opportunity to visit exhibitions I feel as if I can do more than just simply look at a piece of artwork, I see much more now...

I really enjoyed the course which I did for personal interest. It was a structured approach to learning about key art movements which you could do at your own pace. The reading modules and assignments were of high quality. My tutor was great who marked assignments within one business day and provided useful feedback and tips to continue learning outside of the course.

The modules are well thought through and allow a new starter (like me!) to gain confidence as they progress to the end of the course.
My tutor responded quickly and made helpful comments.
When I contacted Admin re some queries they were quick to reply and again very helpful.

A brilliant course. Covers not just art but covers a lot of social history. The course materials are high quality, well written and easy to follow. It's a challenging course, in a good way. It definitely gets you thinking and you won't enter a art gallery the same way after this course! Very thought provoking. I would highly recommend this course - no doubts go for it!

I am enjoying learning at my own pace using the core materials & resources suggested as well as further study of my own.
My tutor’s positive feedback is really helpful too.
I would recommend this course for anyone interested in Art .
Excellent notes, friendly timeous and constructive guidance and feedback. So far a most enriching course. Also very good value for money. I would recommend this course to everyone interested in art.
The Art Institute modules have been stimulating, challenging and very rewarding. Each new module takes you into a period of art and guides you through. The assignments help you to put new information together and to increase your understanding and appreciation. All this time you have your own personal tutor for feedback and help, and this is such an important link when you are studying by yourself.
Thank you, this is a great course!
Excellent, well written modules, and reasonably searching questions

I had always wanted to broaden and deepen my knowledge of art history. After extensive research, I chose this course based on its content description, length, and flexibility. I also appreciated that, to progress, assignments had to be completed.
As I worked through the course, I became increasingly convinced that I had made the right choice. There were some very good modules and some excellent ones, but overall, the structure was perfect for me, exactly as I had hoped.
What surprised me was how much it would stimulate my interest in art. I now visit museums and exhibitions with a completely new perspective and renewed enthusiasm.
I also had a very positive experience with my tutor, Libby. I particularly appreciated having the same tutor throughout the course. She provided insightful, constructive, and highly relevant feedback.

I have enjoyed the academic rigor of the course and the coursework. The readings are interesting in their own right, and the assignments give depth and understanding to the concepts and eras being discussed. The feedback from my tutor has been invaluable, pushing me further and helping me understand the topic. I appreciate all the additional resources that are listed in each module.
What would have made this better would have been videos or links to videos to support the material being studied.

I started The Art Appreciation course last September
and I am really enjoying it. I feel I am learning so much
and I really appreciate the feedback my Professor is giving me after each submission. After each Module
I am excited to see the content of the next one. I had wanted to do such a course for years and never had the time and it is fulfilling more than I expected.

After a hiatus of about 9 years due to a change in circumstances (we relocated to the UK!), I decided to resume my studies.
I've just submitted my 5th assignment.
I contacted the South African branch, who arranged an extension for me.
In the years after I abandoned my studies the course was redesigned, with an advanced module added to my original course.
I am really glad I resumed my studies. The content is interesting, compelling and enriching. What I am learning is helping me get more out of visits to galleries and art museums. I'm so fortunate that there are plenty within easy reach of my home in the London commuter belt.
Though the material is good, I'm using additional resources to supplement it. I find the assignments challenging (in a good way) and enjoy applying my mind to the task of compressing a lot of information into an accurate 250-word response.
I'm delighted with how quickly my tutor marks my assignments and provides valuable feedback. I can easily reach him via the message function and get prompt responses.

Am happy with the feedback I receive from my tutor, but would prefer to have more of a dialogue with her.

I wanted to discuss my toe into the world of History of Art without having to commit to an MA or Post Grad course. The fact that this course is online (split into 12 assessed modules) is perfect. The content is put together my experts in their field and then marked by academic staff. Highly recommended

I have completed Module 5 and must say I am enjoying the course very much. I like the flexibility, and I am happy with the tutor's constructive feedback. Looking forward to the next Module. Would certainly recommend.
