Would like to in particular thank Tayler , bar manager, what a great guy ! Along with Charlie for arranging last minute room , with extras to make our stay special . Nick barman and Moses and the lovely waitress Alena , great team !

The hotel is nice. Rooms are very dated and overpriced for what you get and space.

My husband and I spent 4 fabulous days in Bowness at this amazing hotel. The room was lovely and spacious, very clean, had plenty of storage space and the view was spectacular (room 38). The staff were so lovely, very professional and couldn’t do enough for us. I have special dietary needs and they discussed the menu with me on arrival so that my needs were met. A big thank you to Joseph and to all the staff.
The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the hotel pool was out of use however, a new pool and spa is planned for the near future.

The system let me book a lake view room when I searched pet friendly. The hotel 2 days ago said I can’t have a lake view room with a dog. The hotel said they’d work it out and call me back. The hotel did not call back so I rang them today and they told me secret escapes were contacting me and changing to a garden view room (which should be cheaper) BUT I have not heard from secret escapes! Neither the hotel nor secret escapes are taking ownership of this?
6th Feb ….. can’t believe that nobody from the hotel has contacted me about this yet to reassure etc ????

Do Not Stay At the Hotel! As a favour I'm warning you not to stay here.....Images used are out of date by about 8 years....Rooms are tired looking, most have damp issues, furnishings are non-existant, and staff couldn't care less.
