Excellent, a company that responds to customers!
In September I ordered a nearly £100 item from this company and it was despatched by Parcelforce; I expected to have to wait a couple of days for it.
And a couple of days later a total stranger turned up at my house and said "earlier today I found this on my doorstep, I think it is for you". And there was my perfectly wrapped, perfectly addressed package. It had been left over half a mile away, at the other end of the village, no signature, nothing. It's not as if Parcelforce don't know where we live - I do a great deal of shopping online and at some point every delivery company in the area has been here.
I checked the online tracking and the item had been signed for - but not by me, or by the extremely honest neighbour who had delivered it.
I phoned The Caravan Shop to let them know that they could not necessarily rely on their delivery partner. The chap I spoke to was, obviously, very apologetic but the horse had already left the stable, so to speak, so there was nothing he could do. He did, however, mention that they also used MyHermes on occasions.
So a few weeks later I wanted another item, decided to order from this company and on the 'special instructions' box asked for them to please NOT use Parcelforce.
And you know what, they didn't :-)
MyHermes arrived the next day, item safe in good condition, and I signed for it.
I'll continue to support this little company because they took on board what I told them and did something about it.
