The solicitors I would want in my corner
I first went to Ruchir Shah for legal advice in 2012. More than a decade later, I still turn to him and Citizen Law Solicitors when I need advice I can trust.
Ruchir helped me through visa renewals, ILR and eventually British naturalisation, including a few situations along the way that could have become complicated. More recently, Ruchir and Ruchi Mishra have also helped members of my international family, Ukrainians and Bulgarians, with their own legal and immigration matters.
The reason I have kept going back is quite simple: they take ownership of a case. You don't get the feeling that somebody has glanced at your papers, applied a standard formula and moved on to the next client. They listen, understand the particular circumstances, explain the options and then work out the best way forward.
They are also extraordinarily hard-working and accessible. When something is urgent or stressful, being able to reach your solicitor and know that they understand the history of your case makes an enormous difference. Ruchir in particular has an ability to make a difficult situation feel manageable. Calm, practical and reassuring, but also someone I would trust to fight very hard for his client when that is what is needed.
I have always found their fees very reasonable as compared to several larger law-firms, particularly considering the amount of personal attention they give their clients. You are getting a genuinely bespoke service rather than paying for the machinery and overheads of a much larger firm.
I work in the legal field myself and have supported litigation in more than a dozen countries. That probably makes me more demanding of lawyers, not less. I value people who know their law, exercise good judgement, tell you candidly where you stand and are prepared to put in the work. Ruchir and Ruchi tick those boxes.
After dealing with Ruchir since 2012, I can recommend Citizen Law Solicitors with confidence.
