I purchased our bed 5 years ago and the service at the time was excellent. I contacted The English Bed Company recently as I needed to replace a few of slate holders (they got broken by our removal men in a recent move!) the service again was exceptional. The bed itself is of high quality and still in great condition even after a couple of moves.

After ordering the sample and brochure they arrived quickly! The samples were a decent size to get a good idea and the brochure was very well made! Looking forward to receiving my bed!!

Bed is just what we wanted and looks very classy in our bedroom! Had lots of comments on it

Love my bed, it is great the quality. The only downside is, I wanted a really high mattress. So my mattress is 35cm however the cushioning of the headboard and the footboard reduces the space alotted for the mattress reduces so the mattress fits extremely tight. So this bed probably needs a standard height mattress

Product is great, however delivery was slow as it took around 3 weeks more than the original estimate

Beautiful samples have been sent after a phonecall from customer service in which I was struggling to make a choice. I sent photos of our bedroom and furniture and then received two samples which perfectly compliment the furniture and wallpaper. I really like the velvet Heather sample and look forward to ordering soon.

We bought a Super king Austen Buttoned bed from the English Bed Company back in July 2020 which had a 6-8 week lead time. It eventually turned up in November 2020 after a lot of chasing and very little communication from their side. Delivery failed the first attempt as the delivery team didn’t realise that the headboard came in 2 parts. We then had to wait for redelivery.
Fast forward to 2025 - the bed frame and drawers were broken. I reported it as the frame was guaranteed for 5 years. Inspection done and agreed that it was broken and fix was suggested by the assessor to the English bed company. That was 3 weeks ago and I’ve heard nothing about a fix despite chasing. On inspection, the bed had only 4 bits of wood (slats) across to support the mattress on a super king bed and rather than plywood, was just plain cardboard in between them. No support whatsoever. Beautiful looking bed but the quality, service and guarantee are questionable. Having just taken this £1200 bed to the tip, I would not buy from this company again. I have beds from other shops at home that are 10-12 years old and still going strong.

We purchased a Viscount Memory Foam mattress with 2000 pocket springs. It’s wonderful so comfy & when you get into bed it feels it hugs you. The sales person was very helpful as I have bad Arthritis, so I no longer wake up with aches & pains. Would recommend this mattress & the English Bed Company for there help & service.

Great quality. Just what I was looking for. Prompt set up by the delivery guys and great value for money!

UPDATE FOLLOWING RESPONSE - as you can see the company are still claiming there is no UK standard emperor size. However, it speaks volumes that they are all 200 x 200 with most major bed retailers.

Really disappointed. We ordered an emperor size bed frame from this company. When our emperor mattress arrived (from a different company) it is apparent the bed frame is nowhere near the right size. We ordered a UK size emperor mattress and the bed frame is from the ENGLISH BED COMPANY (clue is in the name) - but we are instead left hugely disappointed that the sizing wasnt flagged as non-standard to us when ordering - this should be plastered all over their website that their beds ONLY work with their own mattresses

Samples delivered promptly....decided to go with the austen bed in Plush Bone. The sample really helped me get the best colour match for my bedroom.

I've purchased an amazing sofa and few years back and currently trying to decide which bed design to go for. Fantastic quality furniture and last for years!

Excellent customer service. the pack they sent was very informative and as a result I have ordered a loveseat and a sofabed. They are currently in production so cannpt yet comment on their quality.

I contacted you for samples of leather as I intend buying a leather bed. The samples came promptly and also a brochure came in the post. Very efficient service I will be travelling upto Salford to visit the showroom in the next month or so.

Excellent customer service

Received my fabric samples promptly, they were really well packaged. I also asked for a brochure, this was gorgeous, really well put together and looked super professional. I have asked for several fabric samples from other companies, and not received them, what I liked about The English Bed Company was the professionalism... and the quality. Were now off to visit the show room, next weekend. I also like the fact that you can see what you're buying too! So having a Showroom, really is an added plus.

Fabulous fabrics and a super choice of beds. I love the winged buttoned bed that comes in two sizes and has storage underneath...
