The Gourmet Goat Farmer is a celebration of all things goat! Purchase online for collection from the farm or nationwide delivery. In 2017, we started our herd of Boer goats. We began selling our goat meat locally, later teaming up with other struggling British goat farmers during the pandemic to start selling their goat produce alongside our meat at market stalls. We are now a one-stop shop for British goat produce, with our offering including organic goat milk, a range of fabulous goat cheeses from the southwest, soap and skin lotions, plus mohair socks. Our collaboration with other goat farmers has allowed us to share our farming knowledge, collectively improving our animal husbandry and farm management. Regular meetings allow us to share our successes and challenges, and support each other in this niche world of goat farming. Today we are home to a herd of 250 Boer goats and employ a fabulous local team of eight people. The welfare of our beautiful animals is at the heart of everything we do. Our goats live a healthy, free range life here on the Marlborough Downland, grazing ancient pastures and socialising naturally as part of a herd.

Excellent Product and Service

Ordered shoulder of goat on Tuesday and it arrived today (Thursday). The service is fantastic and the product is great. I will probably be making Goat curry tomorrow and having seen the meat I am very much looking forward to a Greatest Of All Time curry.

FANTASTIC GOAT MEAT SHOP

Just had to say, the best goat meat I've had in a while. Loving the fact that it's free range, hoping they don't get fed hormone treatments etc, as it is not stated on website. I've ordered from this firm, I think 4 times. Each time, consistently good. Others I've tried have been old and sat in the freezer for far too long and lost their texture and colour, turning a pale grey like colour. But these are always fresh. Great tasting meat

Some firm's can't work out the difference between mutton and goat. Goat, always much firmer and takes longer to cook. They've tried to dupe me. But not this shop, I always get exactly what I want, and they added a little surprise gift for me. I couldn't be more chaffed!

Goat meat is really underrated. I would recommend this Goat Shop for fresh solid free range meat. They stock goat soap also, which I will try out on my next shop.

Edited* Thanks so much for the explanation. No wonder, the meat tastes amazing! Yes, sadly, there's so much media misconception, I've been misinformed. Happy to be corrected. I have recommended you to family and friends. Sent links. I believe as time goes by, the standards will be allevated to an even more supreme standard. Thank you for making this meat available.

Many thanks for your time in reviewing us. To rest assure you there are ABSOLUTELY NO Hormones used in rearing our goats. Nor are any hormones used in producing any UK meat, a misconception by poor journalism I am afraid, getting confused with the very different American farming systems. Our goats feed themselves on our ancient pasture, and in the winter when it isn't growing, hay and barley from the farm. I can also assure you we use no Soya either! Best wishes and thanks for our support. As a small family farm, this review means the world to us x
