So far I only have positive feedback towards The Institute of Makeup Artistry. Prompt reply’s and high quality videos. Great course for beginners or a refresher for others.

I have really enjoyed doing the Make-up course. I highly recommend it because you learn to do such a variety of different Make-up styles with many different Modules.

Been really enjoying this course, as online courses go this has been the most easiest to follow. It is a well thought out planned course I have done.

I love to every part of discourse from where I started to where I finished the growth in my skill and technique has grown and even when you are self learning you still have the opportunity to take advantage of the professionals and teachers that are there to support you along your journey I would recommend this course to anyone I had a great time.

The course has been very enjoyable and challenging, the help received from my tutor has been wonderful. Video tutorials are excellent to be able to watch and re-watch if needed, I was a little surprised to find that the module for prosthetics had no video tutorials which did make the practical tasks a fair bit more difficult, only having small photos to use as a reference for probably the most involved and unusual subject. Never the less, I was able to get through it and it was definitely one of my favourite modules.

I have absolutely loved studying with The Institute of Makeup Artistry. The content and course materials are very informative and educational. I have gained many new skills and knowledge in makeup.
I highly recommend this course to those that have a strong interest in makeup and want to learn more skills

This makeup training organisation has been amazingly helpful and so easy to follow and so excited to carry on and complete

Loved this module, however moving from one makeup look to another was extremely difficult on top of other makeup

I love doing my qualifications with IMUA and I have learned a lot from them, however, it would be also good to have an engaging classroom discussions in local areas, where fellow students and makeup artists get to know each other through the journey of completing the course.

I found this very poor communication, you could wait a day before someone would reply and still wasn’t all helpful.
Also you can’t just get on with your work as they say it takes a week for your work to be marked and you cannot go onto your next assignment, videos are not shown in the first week and you only have a week to decide if you like the course so I didn’t want to take my chances, if communication is that poor and you cannot talk to anyone accept through messages.
I am a fully qualified makeup artist through delamar academy, I only wanted to refresh my mind but this course just wasn’t it.
Be aware that you could be stuck on something and can’t move on until you get a message reply back, and also you will need to spend an extra grand on all makeup tools to complete the course,
But for those who don’t mind that, wish you all the best

The Institute of Makeup Artistry has provided a wonderful platform for those who wish to independently learn and gain knowledge of the industry. The modules are in depth, with a plethora of resources whether written or via video tutorials. As someone who learns practically and prides themselves in independence the structure of the Diploma has seamlessly slotted in to my current lifestyle. They definitely excel at support and equipping you with current practical knowledge, techniques and applications. The resources and mentors are on the ball. If I ever have a question or enquiry, no matter how significant, my mentor always replies within hours or a day. I would recommend all of their courses in a heartbeat to anyone who wants to work in the Makeup Industry - it's not a heavy load in my eyes and all assignments teach you practical tools that you can instantly use.

My journey with this institute has been one of a roller coaster. On one hand I have thoroughly enjoyed my course and learned amazing techniques, on the other hand I did feel a bit over whelmed and felt I could do with a bit more support to keep me motivated. The certificate course has given me confidence in myself to be able to self experiment with new techniques. There are a lot of new incredible techniques I got to learn which I thought I would never have achieved with any other institution.

I love this course. Not only a teachers so helpful and readily available, but community of students so supportive. It’s a great challenge and provides in-depth information to build your skills.

They have been so understanding with the current lockdown situation & very helpful!
I am able to do the course at my own pace & gain extensions where required.

This course has completely improved and changed my skills in a way I never imagined. I even surprise myself sometimes with the results of my work. I couldn't believe it! it has changed the way i approach makeup situations now as well.

This course has been fun to learn and very easy to do at home. I have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the modules and it feels great knowing you have your tutors there for easy communication. I can’t wait to finish it and progress onto the advanced modules.

This course has taught me more about the makeup industry than I ever thought possible. I am so thankful for everything I have learnt so far in my course, each module is so in depth and easy to keep up with. The makeup kits are of such amazing quality and I love that the kits include brands I had not heard of prior to starting my diploma.

I’m absolutely loving this course and I’m very glad that I signed up in September 2020. I work full time and since this course is online, it has given me the flexibility to study when it suits me. I just completed module 10 and I only have 2 modules to go. I have learnt many avenues of makeup from Bridal to Theatre to SFX. Thank you to the Institute of Makeup Artistry for the journey so far!
